He is afraid of her and is a weakling at heart. A fat, overgrown husband across the hall in the same apartment house is married to Estelle, who is just as timid as she is beautiful. Their dog starts a fight with the cat belonging to Phil's household, and the battle is on. Phil's son starts a battle with Estelle's child. The wives take up the argument and Estelle is getting the worst of it when she calls her huge Hubby. He comes to her aid and starts picking on the fat woman. She calls Phil to help her but he beats a hasty retreat when he gets one look at Estelle's giant mate. Phil's wife insists that he beats up the heavyweight neighbor before she will let him back in the apartment. He trips the big fellow near the apartment entrance, and then tries to get back into his apartment by climbing a ladder. This is carried away, but Estelle comes to his rescue. Estelle's fat husband returns suddenly, and she hides Phil. But he discovers Phil, and in the running battle which ensues, Phil accidentally gets the best of it. Phil's fat wife thinks he has knocked his hefty rival unconscious. He returns to his apartment a hero and makes his overbearing wife do all the work. But the fat neighbor comes in to threaten Phil, and he gets meek as a lamb again and resumes his housework. Written by
