About this game

We fused card games and roguelikes together to make the best single player deckbuilder we could. Craft a unique deck, encounter bizarre creatures, discover relics of immense power, and Slay the Spire!

Features
- Dynamic Deck Building: Choose your cards wisely! Discover hundreds of cards to add to your deck with each attempt at climbing the Spire. Select cards that work together to efficiently dispatch foes and reach the top.
- An Ever-changing Spire: Whenever you embark on a journey up the Spire, the layout differs each time. Choose a risky or safe path, face different enemies, choose different cards, discover different relics, and even fight different bosses!
- Powerful Relics to Discover: Powerful items known as relics can be found throughout the Spire. The effects of these relics can greatly enhance your deck through powerful interactions. But beware, obtaining a relic may cost you more than just gold.

this is a fun game with one irritating flaw. it insists on syncing a save file or something at startup. I do not care about this, and actually I would guess most people don't. despite this, every time I start the game on the subway, it hangs until it can complete this task. please, please, please. add an option to skip this. saving the game locally is enough for me.

The game itself is good but the controls really need to be streamlined for touchscreens. It seems like there is an invisible mouse cursor that stays on the screen in the last area you tapped and can lead to confusion. The game also expects you to "hover over" cards and icons sometimes to get more information, but because it's a touchscreen you have to tap and hold instead, which can lead to accidentally activating something you didn't mean to.

I recently started playing and love this game. Incredible time sink and very clever (and difficult) game. The touch controls, however, are absolutely abysmal, and the only reason I deducted 2 stars. You'll absolutely and repeatedly play cards you don't intend to while just trying to read them, and that's a massive handicap in a game that requires so much strategy. I hope to see that addressed at some point and will adjust my review accordingly if so.
