Current version of the app crashes and never gets past the loading / splash screen. Watch shows disconnected. Rebooted phone and watch. No change. Edit: clearing data from the app got things working again, but this was far from a seamless update. Updated 17-Jun-2024. Current version doesn't seem to deal with notifications at all. The app doesn't seem to detect that it has permissions to read notifications. With fossil looking at dropping smartwatch support, I think it's time to move on.

The Fossil app needs work. The most frustrating thing as a current user is that the watch face changes back to a default face by itself. The configured tiles do not save either. This usually occurs after an update or if my battery is a bit low. Even though it's synced to the Fossil app. Also, the Fossil app doesn't automatically sync to the watch (I miss this the most about wear os). It's like Fossil isn't even trying to make their app user friendly and smart functional anymore. 😮💨

Reduced to 4 star due to lost connectivity and the need to factory reset my watch and reinstalling this app. 5: This is a surprisingly well designed app. I haven't seen any issues after almost two weeks of use. It's a clean UI, and a fun feature I just discovered is the image of the watch on the home screen shows current data (steps, battery, etc) with the only difference being the time different, merely so I can read all the background data. That's a nice touch!
