‘The Bachelorette’ star Ryan Sutter says wife Trista’s absence brought ‘questions’ and ‘worry’

All is well.

“The Bachelorette” star Ryan Sutter is happy to have his wife, Season 1 lead Trista Sutter, home, after he shared some very cryptic posts about her whereabouts on social media.

The firefighter shared a new black-and-white photo of himself over the weekend, before revealing that his longtime love is now home.

“They say absence makes the heart grow fonder…. We found out it’s true. It also makes the heart more grateful, more sympathetic, more appreciative for what someone does for you, with you, alongside of you,” he captioned a selfie via Instagram.

“It brings questions and wonder and worry and then answers and peace and celebration. It brought time for reflection, for projects, prayer and independence but mostly it brought joy at its conclusion,” he continued. “Real joy. And that’s really what it’s all about.”

He concluded: “Welcome back @tristasutter We missed you…. #love #love #reunitedanditfeelssogood.”

In one of the pics, Ryan and his family also posed on the beach in snorkeling gear.

Trista, for her part, returned to Instagram and revealed that she is “safe and sound.” She later revealed that the couple — who married in 2003 and are parents of Maxwell, 16, and Blakesley, 15 — are currently vacationing in Mexico.

“Change of scenery,” Ryan captioned another pic. “I’m a mountain man with a love for the sea. I’ve have little of either lately so it was time to get out of dodge and find fresh perspectives after a long year of new schools, a new home, a lost dog and a busy life. I think this place will do…. #adios #life #love #family.”

The pair did not reveal where Trista had been the past week or so, but she did joke about her husband’s cryptic posts. Fans, meanwhile, are suspecting that she was away filming a reality show.

“Geez people. Can’t a girl have a nervous breakdown/trial separation/midlife crisis/death/divorce in peace around here?!” she joked via Instagram on May 25, sharing a photo of the family of four on their getaway. “In all seriousness, for those concerned, I’m safe and sound, happy and healthy, in love and grateful. For those who’d rather focus on being critical and searching way too hard for darkness, good luck with that.”

“An opportunity for perspective and personal growth presented itself and with the unconditional support of my family and friends, I chose myself and betterment, knowing that my stay-at-home-mom job and my kids end-of-the-school-year needs were in the best, most capable hands,” she continued.

“My stoic husband who usually chooses privacy over posting, decided to share his love for me in messages that would find me in my travels. We look at Instagram like a digital diary. Most of the time, the world doesn’t pay too much attention.”
