Looking back at the Female Founders’ Brunch Event on Scaling Internationally 🌍🚀 Earlier last week, Google Cloud, TNW, Antler and ScaleNL hosted the 6th edition of Female Founders’ Brunch, celebrating female entrepreneurs and their journeys towards scaling internationally 🌏 Over 70 (aspiring) female founders joined the event, representing different industries and technologies. We discussed the ins and outs of expansion with a panel consisting of a number of powerful and inspiring women, moderated by Yeni Joseph from TNW 🤩 🌟 Camilla Scholten , co-founder of CustomerGauge 🌟Micky Chen, co-founder of Minite.works 🌟Maxime Lübbers, AI Ecosystem Lead at Techleap 🌟Kaoutar Ashour, Program Director at ScaleNL Want to know what they had to say? 👀 We’ve got you covered with a recap with some of the key takeaways ⬇️ ❓The "Why" Behind Going Global: Camilla and Kaoutar Ashour highlighted international expansion as a way to access new markets, talent, and funding opportunities. Maxime emphasized that scaling can be a strategic growth driver for entrepreneurs in specific areas, including AI and Deeptech. 🧠Challenges & Learnings: Micky discussed the importance of navigating cultural differences in every aspect her founder journey. While not visible to the public, often lots of hard work and rejection hides behind a victory. It’s important to remain adaptable and to learn from setbacks, while respecting your boundaries. 🤝Support Systems & Networks: Building strong networks in target markets is essential to scaling your company (this is where #ScaleNL comes in 😉). Maxime spoke about leveraging government programs, such as the ones offered by Techleap and ScaleNL, to really accelerate your soft-landing into new geographies. View a network as a multiplier! 💭Advice for Aspiring Global Founders: The importance of a strong product-market fit and understanding your financial runway is crucial to success internationally. When achieving your goals, don’t be scared to celebrate those milestones.
