Last week, MR MARVIS contributed to the RVDK Modespektakel - an outdoor fashion show - marking the launch of the The Fashion Foundation. The Fashion Foundation enables financially vulnerable families to find free clothing, shoes, and accessories, donated by various brands, including MR MARVIS.   In this show, Ronald van der Kemp showcased what can be done with discarded stock and leftover fabric, highlighting that style, sustainability, and creativity can go hand in hand.

🏳️🌈🇳🇱 2024 Pride Week at MR MARVIS 🇳🇱🏳️🌈 Last week, our JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Committee organised an insightful series of activities in the spirit of #Pride. Here's a recap of the highlights: Daily Educational Bites: Throughout the week, we shared daily educational bites on the history of #Pride. Lunch & Learn: We hosted a session with the social justice organisation Hivos, offering valuable insights into their impactful work. JEDI Movie Night: Our first annual JEDI movie night featured a screening of the social commentary comedy, But I’m a Cheerleader! Online JEDI Training: We launched our company-wide online JEDI training course in collaboration with TinQwise. This e-training course is hosted by inspiring JEDI advisor and public speaker, Nadine Ridder. Just like last year, we concluded this amazing week with a fun-filled team bingo night hosted by the dynamic duo, Diva MayDay & The Countess! The grand prize? A €350 donation to Hivos!

🏳️🌈 Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈 As we step into Pride Month, we are excited to share that MR MARVIS has founded a JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Committee. After last year's success in organising a PRIDE week and related educational activities, now it is time to take our efforts to the next level. In the coming months, the committee will focus on creating a JEDI vision statement for MR MARVIS, organising a second edition of PRIDE week, facilitating training, and conducting employee surveys to gain a better understanding of JEDI within our company. By establishing this committee, we aim to make MR MARVIS an even more welcoming place where everyone — our employees, customers, and the communities we interact with — feels safe, empowered, and accepted for who they are. This month and every month, let's celebrate authenticity, equality and love ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤

MR MARVIS is now a member of the Fur Free Retailer programme, an international coalition of more than 50 of the world's leading wildlife and environmental protection organisations. Although we have never had any fur-based products in our collections, we aim to contribute to increasing public awareness of animal welfare. Last Monday, 15 of our colleagues volunteered at Het Danspaleis | Tankstation van levensvreugde. 🕺🎷 Het Danspaleis has a mission: fighting loneliness and promoting vitality and inclusion among seniors in the Netherlands through music and dancing. They do so by organising dance parties for seniors in elderly homes around the country. MR MARVIS has been a proud partner over the past three years and also sponsored Monday's event. It made their day, and ours too! 🎉 Each year, MR MARVIS sets a target for voluntary work hours based on (but not limited to) 4 hours per full-time employee. For 2024, this means we will roll up our sleeves together with our team for at least 255 hours. 💪
