The Voices for Just Climate Action (VCA) Alliance is now seeking applications from consultancy firms or companies to conduct the the end evaluation of the VCA programme. The evaluation aims to generate insights on the effectiveness of our strategies to contribute to climate adaptation through movement building, lobby, advocacy and supporting local climate solutions. VCA is an alliance between organisation in the global South and North, namely Akina Mama wa Afrika, Fundación Avina, SDI. (Slum Dwellers International), SouthSouthNorth, Hivos and Wereld Natuur Fonds (WWF-NL). Operating across Indonesia, Kenya, Zambia, Tunisia, Brazil, Bolivia and Paraguay, VCA unites diverse voices from civil society, including women, youth, Indigenous people, the urban poor, and digital activists. The programme envisions a world where civil society is respected as a co-creator of locally relevant, inclusive, and fundable climate solutions. Mwansa Mwila and his wife Nyuma Nyirongo are #horticulture farmers in Kanakantapa. Their farm is a refreshing green oasis filled with maize and a variety of vegetables. At a time when most farmers in Zambia have been grappling with a major #drought in the region, their land is a welcome sight. The couple were part of our Healthy Food Africa’s Chongwe Food System Lab which trained them, and many others, in #sustainable farming practices and provided them with the right tools for the purpose.
