While driving along Lekki Road yesterday we noticed a girl was run down by a truck and people gathered watching. It was a sad experience and I said out loud I wish we had spare lives. Unfortunately we don't. I reminded myself of the need to take care of my health as much as I can. One major area I considered is Stress reduction and management. I thought through the following ways to reduce stress in and out of work. 1. Schedule breaks: Plan breaks into my day to ensure i take time off from work and refresh. Take enough break and don't eat Junk at work. 2. Get moving: Use breaks to stretch, walk, or do a quick workout to boost energy. Not sitting for too long at a time. 3. Connect with nature: Take a break outside or gaze out a window to refresh my mind, help my eye muscles. 4. Practice mindfulness: Meditate on God's word, practice deep breathing, or engage in a relaxing activity. 5. Do something creative: Engage in a hobby or creative pursuit to stimulate your mind. Take out time and play golf at least once in a month. 6. Take a power nap: A short nap of 15-20 minutes can recharge my batteries after work 😊. 7. Disconnect from screens: Avoid checking work emails or social media during breaks and early in the mornings. 8. Set boundaries: Establish clear break times to maintain a healthy work-life balance. 9. Make breaks enjoyable: Do something i love, like reading or listening to music, shopping and travelling. Reward myself often 😊 ! What works for you. Please share. Copied Ijeoma Azi (MNIA)
