No matter you're fresh graduates or experienced hires, there are some important abbreviations in the workplace that you should know: 𝐏𝐈𝐂 (𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞) A PIC is the individual who is responsible to manage a specific task or project.   𝐊𝐏𝐈 (𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫) KPI quantifies the level of effectiveness of an organisation or an individual in achieving their assigned tasks, goals, and objectives.   𝐄𝐎𝐁 (𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬) It refers to the time when you are off from work. For example if you should work from 9AM to 6PM, then your EOB shall be at 6PM.   𝐌𝐨𝐌 (𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠) MoM is the written record of a meeting, including details such as discussion topics, participants, resolution and etc. 𝐒𝐎𝐏 (𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐞) These are the guidelines to refer when performing a particular task.   𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰-𝐔𝐩 The subsequent action taken to confirm or verify something. For instance, your supervisor might want to follow up with you to get an update on the progress of the task given to you earlier. 𝐓𝐂𝐃 (𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐞) It refers the due date by which a task shall be completed.   𝐓𝐁𝐃 (𝐓𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝) These are the issues or topics arose but have yet to be addressed, so they are pending with further discussion. 𝐓𝐁𝐂 (𝐓𝐨 𝐁𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝) This applies to information that is still unclear and awaiting confirmation. Are there any other important abbreviations in your mind?
