Bringing people together is what we do best, especially when it’s our own team. Leaders from EF International Language Campuses gathered in Budapest to kick off the year with a focus on how to “Own Our Future” together.   Over the course of the event, the teams dug into key topics driving transformational change—developing future leaders, leading with strengths, making data-driven decisions, and staying committed to student satisfaction.   It was more than just planning for the future. Lachlan Morton has done it again. Thirty days, 9 hours, 59 minutes. That’s how long it took him to cycle one lap around Australia, starting and ending in his hometown. The ride was just over 14,200 kilometers—and this was about much more than setting a new record. Meet Skip: Executive VP of Sales for EF Educational Tours. In 2022 Skip celebrated his 30 years at EF and was honored with his legacy tile outside our EF Zurich office! Get college students to care that they could earn bucket list travel for free as a Campus Ambassador. The solution? A bucket. Yes, like a Home Depot bucket. Scrappy, organic, hilarious, and just wild enough to hold their attention. Many thanks to Søren Sattrup from the KILROY Group for a lively conversation with my co-opetitors from the multi-day tour industry as we discussed trends facing our industry at WYSTC (The World Youth and Student Travel Conference) in Lisbon.     Thank you to the WYSE Travel Confederation for inviting me to represent EF Ultimate Break on stage to share details about factors impacting our sector of young adult tourism.     Enabling more young adults (ages 18-35) to travel the world remains our collective goal as we all work to modernize our technology, support affordability challenges given the increased cost of living (especially for many young travelers still paying off their student loans) and living in a time of climate change where sustainability practices are a huge part of the GenZ and Younger Millennial decision-making process when booking a trip overseas.     I’m proud of the work EF World Journeys and EF Ultimate Break are doing to make international travel more accessible, sustainable and easier than ever to book online so more North Americans can explore the world outside their borders.      If you are a destination, accommodations provider, airline or tourism partner who wants to join us in this effort, please let me know and we will work together to live up to EF’s mission to open the world through education (and deliver on the enlightenment that comes from traveling the world).     #WeAreEF #internationaltravel #youthtravel #education #culture
