Ugly Betty merupakan pemenang Anugerah Golden Globe Award dan v yang disiarkan di Amerika Syarikat (AS). Drama ini dterajui oleh America Ferrera, Vanessa Williams, dan Eric Mabius. Pertama kali keudara adalah pada 28 September 2006, menerusi ABC di AS. Drama komedi ini lebih tertumpu kepada kisah harian antara Betty Suarez (lakonan Ferrera) dan majikannya, Daniel Meade (Mabius). Drama ini adalah adaptasi dari telenovela latin, Yo soy Betty, la fea[1] hasil karya Fernando Gaitán (juga penulis untuk Café, con aroma de mujer). Ugly Betty diadaptasikan dengan merujuk kepada suasana New York oleh Silvio Horta dan Salma Hayek selaku penolong penerbit dan Ben Silverman. Selain bergerak selaku penolong penerbit, Salma Hayek turut memegang watak sebagai Sofia Reyes dalam drama komedi ini.
