ant_math I was looking for new music, not exactly knowing what I wanted to listen. And thank the god of algorithmic I found this masterpiece... instantly felt in love. I listened 1/2/3 times the whole album... then I bought the CD. Now I know exactly what I was looking for. Please make more music like this !

pinkytheent Mountain Caller knock it out of the park. They perform a masterclass in storytelling songwriting: asymmetrical and linear, a progression through a story and mood and motif, point to point, rather than a verse/chorus tune. No lyrics are needed (though a treat in Dead Language!), for the deliciously adventurous rhythms and melodies give you the bones of the story and your imagination takes flight. I hung on every turn, entranced, awash in the riotous color. Such tremendous character to this music! Favorite track: Dead Language.

ScurvyMouse Keep on coming back to this album. It's a real grower. Each time I play it I like it more. So many great tracks but I get a thrill from the unexpected vocals on this track. Favorite track: Dead Language.

shane only 2 tracks into the preorder, and I already know how special this release is going to be. The addition of vocals in Dead Language add yet another layer to their expansive soundscapes. Mountain Caller are musical alchemists. rejoice!!! Favorite track: Dead Language.

I'm deeply saddened that it took me until Sept. 2022 to discover the existence of this band and album. How could my music friends have let me down so thoroughly? How could I not have just sensed the presence of this masterpiece and channeled it from thin air.
