I am writing through a translator, I hope it will be clear what my problem is ((( I was stuck at the moment of the moth chasing us in the hospital, that is, I was able to escape from him, but what to do next? I have a piece of paper with code 457, but I can't open the doors with it and I can't go out through the exit and through the roof, I can't leave the room at all, I don't understand, maybe I missed something? What could this be about?? Please help me!!(
theres a walkthrough you can download if it helps, its a text document so you should be able to translate it
unfortunately, im not sure exactly where you are in the game, but it sounds like you havent used the phone yet? if you ran from moths in the cafeteria after getting the box cutter, youll get a prompt to use the phone, from there you call the number you found earlier in your inventory
to get that cg you have to do the tate/messiah secret ending! theres a guide for it in the ending guide you can download for free on the itchio page for the game ^w^
this cg in partulcular is if you die during one of the quick time hiding scenes!
ah sorry i dont feel comfortable clicking links, but its the scene where youre supposed to hide in a tent, instead hide under a table during that scene and you should get the cg
hi, in some places I use a translator, but I hope that it will be clear what I mean. I started this amazing game on my Android with the JoiPlay emulator(yes, I know that this game is not supposed to be used on android) everything is fine (although the text is smaller.... maybe I should just look at the settings JoiPlay.)
the only problem is that at first I didn't understand where to save the gameplay. my files were empty, I clicked on the "load" button, and I got an error:
"Script 'Game_System' line 92: NoMethodError occured." "undefined method 'play' for nil:NilClass"
this confused me, then I just played on and realized that only later it would give me the opportunity to save the game..... It's just my stupidity.
I really love this game, thank you a lot. playing it makes me feel calmer in my soul. an amazing feeling

thank you so much for making this game! i don’t play games often, but this one really helped me in a way that’s hard to describe. I don’t think i have DID, but that video game you play in Tate’s apartment really means the world to me. I feel like there’s a lot of me’s inside me all trying to just get by life, and it’s hard to balance all the sides sometimes. That minigame just felt like it was made with such love and it really reflects how I feel about myself, especially with moths. I just appreciate you guys so much for making this, thank you. It’s a very comforting video game overall, its a nice way to cope.

Hi sorry to bother but im genuinely unsure what to do while you wait for Tate to get home from work. I don't know if i missed the game cartridge or what but its making me very frustrated.
you dont need the cartridge to progress unless youre trying to get the true ending
you need to-
make sure you get the cutscene when you click on his bed, grab the rope on the wall and the whiskey on the table then go into the bathroom and grab the bleach and then head back out into the living room
hello- sorry to bothered you but i have a question- when the chase scene in the hospital start,my game bugs and i can't move but,i just can waiting for having the "game over" screen- i'm not sure if its a issue with my PC or something else?-
you cant move at all or are you slow? if youre slow, you take the pills from your inventory you got earlier
if youre frozen and cant move, i recommend closing the game and either closing all other programs and relaunching or restarting your computer and then only having the game open when you play again! some computers with slower processors dont like running the game if theres other programs open O: lemme know if this helps and if not i can look into it more!

yep, you cannot save whenever! save spots are the diaries through out the game (the main one is in randalls closet to the left) and if youre playing as mya you can save with her cat
theres also prompts throughout the game that prompt you to save automatically.
hmm thats strange, i even downloaded the game from the itchio to test it and it seems to be working fine on my end
your sound card might be messing up, i recommend restarting your computer (or shutting it down for a minute) and then trying again and see if that fixes the sound O:
if that doesnt work, there may have been an error when you unpacked the file, you could delete the download and the files and try redownloading and re-unpacking to see if that fixes it!
also make sure your computer didnt accidentally get muted! i bump my mute button a lot myself without realizing it XD
i already did all of that and it still wont have sound and its not conected to anything im playing music right now and it works just fine but the game still doesnt have sound and it wont give me the city map so i cant even start the game

and it wont give you the map? did you go to the bottom path of the map and click to leave? are you getting the item sparkle or is nothing happening at all? im trying my best o figure out what could possibly be going on, but youre the first person ive seen have this issue and the game is working fine on my end and for all my testers so im a little at a loss :(
you can also try FN+F1 and make sure audio is enabled, it could have gotten turned off somehow
if nothing manages to work, you can get a refund from itchio i believe ;-; im very sorry for the issues, it doesnt seem like an issue with the game though which makes it hard for me to fix this OTL
the download screen tells me to click a blue box, but i see no blue box on the screen when it does.. this saddens me because this game seems very fun and i've heard good things about it.
ah ok ive seen this issue a couple times, its your computers firewall
first make sure it downloaded at all, sometimes on windows 11 or updated browsers it wont even download it unless you allow it to, so try to download the file again and see if theres a pop up in your downloads box, you should be able to select "download anyway". if not, try to use a different browser like firefox or chrome if youre not using one of those
next, once you get your browser to behave to download it, you should be able to open what file it downloaded to from your downloads, open the folder its in and it should look like a blue box icon. click on it and your firewall might say "its a virus cause we dont know this developer" which is totally common with itchio games, it even happened to me when i downloaded it onto another computer and also when i got baldi's basics.
you should be able to click a small button in the corner that says "more options" and then you can hit "run anyway". itll extract the files to the same folder the blue box is in, but now itll just be a new folder you can open. open the new folder (not the blue box again) and scroll down a little til you see an icon that looks like a red dragon and click on that to launch the game.
im sorry it giving you some trouble :( if you cant get it to work, i do plan on uploading to steam soon and youll receive a free copy of it there for owning it on itchio!

theres an easter egg in the long/last dream, but a lot of her content i had in mind was cut due to time restraints and just struggling to make it flow :( i do have some plans for her in the future though!

In the hospital chase scene after Mya turns into Moths I can't run? I've tried both shifts and restarting the game but Randall just walks slowly and runs at a normal walking pace.

This doesn’t happen a ton of times but it happened a few times, So when the game instantly started (this mostly happened in the extended demo-and it happened like once in the full game) Randall would face the hospital and not move? He would be facing the opposite direction and I assumed he would just turn around but he didn’t and I could not move him-I exited the game and relaunched it and that fixed it but just thought I’d say.
this happened to a friend of mine! i genuinely have no idea whats causing this ;o; im gonna see what i can do about adding a "face down" extra movement event to ensure he's in the right place for sure
it seems to be a glitch rather than a bug though which isnt necessarily something i can fix x_x but ill try my best to figure out a work around! thank you for letting me know about it, my friends computer is super messed up so we assumed that was what caused the glitch with him, but knowing its happened to someone else helped a ton!
I have a question what app did you use to make the pixel characters.I am trying to make my own game and it's kinda hard trying to find a good one app if you don't mind also I love your games.
hello! all the pixel sprites were made in aseprite and were drawn by my husband bileshroom!
but i will say, pixel art was actually the most grueling part of the game development process, each sprite took quite a while to draw and that was using the same basic process for each of them. every sprite requires 3 frames from each angle; front, left, right, back, each with a step animation for a full walk cycle.
theres not really an app to have it done for you unfortunately, aseprite is just a program for drawing specifically pixel art ^^; i know theres some free bases for walk cycle sprites out there though if you search for them that might help !
If youre making an rpgmaker game like this one, i recommend using placeholders while you work on the game and then focusing on those later ! rpgmaker has some preset sprites you can use in the engine that you can use as placeholders ^^

hello! I ran into such a problem that I can't buy your game. I've been waiting for the game to be released for a long time, but in the end I can't buy it. the paypal method does not work, since there are sanctions in my country and it is impossible to register for paypal. It doesn't support my card. I saw somewhere that the game should be released in steam, but I don't know for sure. :(

Okay but like , I'll be really honest the upgraded chainsaw part on the first dream is a great change ! It really made that part more interesting that it already was :00!! Great job!!! 🙏🙏 It suprised me a lot and made me excited :3

Hiya I'm really excited to play the game! but I think I'm having a bug where after Randall wakes up after the cutting his hair scene the apartment becomes unwalkable? I can only walk if I enter the menu and click out again.
ah its an FPS issue with your graphics card i think! try closing out of other programs before relaunching, if it still lags, restart your computer and try to run it again O:
Hey- every time I go to save it comes up with an error that says, "Script 'Game_System" line 91: TypeError occurred. no implicit conversion from nil to integer". Is anyone else having this problem? If so- is there anyway to fix it?
hm i just tested it myself on the version of the game uploaded and it seems to be working for me
could i ask some things to narrow it down?
-is it any save location or just one area specific?
-did you transfer saves from a previous version of the game?
-did you transfer saves from an old copy that allowed saving from menu? saving from menu has since been patched and if you transferred saves from a copy that allowed it, it could mess up the script and cause the error youre having

as project wise, i am working on getting purple prepped for a small update and a steam release but then we'll be focusing on an updated demo for the sequel "The Phobia Project" and then once that's done we may be focusing on our adults only murder VN, but thats up in the air currently

Wonderful game! I heavily relate to the main character and I don't know if this is what you were going for but the game felt oddly comforting and cozy. I loved it. But I do wish to ask, as a fellow indie game maker, did you use RPG maker to make this game? and which version? if you feel comfortable telling me, I'd like to make my own custom game but I'd like to know the best version for this type of game. and i used RPGmaker VX Ace ! I highly recommend it if you want to get into making pixel rpgs like this! its a very fun program to use and extremely versatile! theres so many scripts to play with that really push the limits of the engine and its fun to experiment! i wish you so much luck in your game development journey!

yes! you need to collect all the diary pages and get the true ending in the same run, once you get to the bonus room after the ending credits of the true end you can use the arcade machines along the back wall to play bonus chapters and one of them includes a small scene with eve/tate ^w^ (the amount of diary pages determines which chapters unlock, i.e 2 pages to unlock the first one, 4 pages to unlock the first and second, etc)
oh?? what do you mean the wrong side? it should put you on the side before you placed the board, the board has to be in place in order for you to get into the lobby area
you only wanna take the board anyway if you havent solved the xray puzzle since one of the xray clues requires the board, but if you got that already you can just leave the board in place on the 2nd floor
that should be fixed now! once you get the garden spade, if you try to take the board with you, you should get an auto scene where randall places the board back and doesnt let you pick it back up to prevent soft locking like in the demo ^^
you could try "winebottler" ! ive heard from some people it allows you to play rpgmaker games on mac! i cant promise itll work well/at all though since i do not have a mac and cannot verify it ;w; but i recommend searching it on google and seeing what you think!

For example, the one where Mya is bending down to pick up Sausage, but instead of Randall (or Moths I guess) Being there, Tate was standing there.
Or at the end of the secret ending where Tate and Randall share a smooch, I didn't have those either! Maybe it just didn't count me as getting them?

and oh? the kissy one should work O: there may be a chance youre playing a version of the game without the "save at ending" fix!
theres also a small issue where the game over cg during the tate/messiah ending doesnt get locked in due to there not being a save bc its a game over, im working hard to get that fixed by tomorrow if you'd like to wait til i update the dev log with the newest version! you can redownload the game after ive uploaded the newest version and just drag and drop your save files over and you shouldnt lose anything!
I also added a little more content in the moths dream as well as fixed up some other small areas in the game ;w;

Been playing thru the game for the past few days and its been an awesome ride! Did 3/6 endings so far! We are also a system and reading Gaspar's explanation of their experience to Mya in the cafe scene was so on-point it made me and other system friends watching us play legit cry /vpos. This game is so special and so important to us, thank you so much for creating this and allowing others to experience it <3
I have a question tho! During Moths nightmare sequence, is there some sort of easteregg code youre supposed to imput in the telephone room? The one where every phone says 1 5 or 9! Thats the only one we couldnt figure out ourselves </3

Are you supposed to step on the buttons in the neat laid-out numpad on the floor, using the telephone booths, or some mixture of both? I've attempted that number combination a few times but nothing seems to change @~@ so sorry for the bother!

this game wouldn't open up because it's "not commonly downloaded" so i feel like my money has gone down the drain because it wouldn't let me play :-(

you should be able to click a small button in the corner that says "more options" and then you can hit "run anyway". itll extract the files to the same folder the blue box is in, but now itll just be a new folder you can open. open the new folder (not the blue box again) and scroll down a little til you see an icon that looks like a red dragon and click on that to launch the game.
im sorry it giving you some trouble :( if you cant get it to work, i do plan on uploading to steam soon and youll receive a free copy of it there for owning it on itchio!

theres an easter egg in the long/last dream, but a lot of her content i had in mind was cut due to time restraints and just struggling to make it flow :( i do have some plans for her in the future though!

This doesn’t happen a ton of times but it happened a few times, So when the game instantly started (this mostly happened in the extended demo-and it happened like once in the full game) Randall would face the hospital and not move? He would be facing the opposite direction and I assumed he would just turn around but he didn’t and I could not move him-I exited the game and relaunched it and that fixed it but just thought I’d say.
this happened to a friend of mine! i genuinely have no idea whats causing this ;o; im gonna see what i can do about adding a "face down" extra movement event to ensure he's in the right place for sure
it seems to be a glitch rather than a bug though which isnt necessarily something i can fix x_x but ill try my best to figure out a work around! thank you for letting me know about it, my friends computer is super messed up so we assumed that was what caused the glitch with him, but knowing its happened to someone else helped a ton!

I have a question what app did you use to make the pixel characters.I am trying to make my own game and it's kinda hard trying to find a good one app if you don't mind also I love your games.
hello! all the pixel sprites were made in aseprite and were drawn by my husband bileshroom!
but i will say, pixel art was actually the most grueling part of the game development process, each sprite took quite a while to draw and that was using the same basic process for each of them. every sprite requires 3 frames from each angle; front, left, right, back, each with a step animation for a full walk cycle.
theres not really an app to have it done for you unfortunately, aseprite is just a program for drawing specifically pixel art ^^; i know theres some free bases for walk cycle sprites out there though if you search for them that might help !
If youre making an rpgmaker game like this one, i recommend using placeholders while you work on the game and then focusing on those later ! rpgmaker has some preset sprites you can use in the engine that you can use as placeholders ^^

I've been waiting for the game to be released for a long time, but in the end I can't buy it. the paypal method does not work, since there are sanctions in my country and it is impossible to register for paypal. It doesn't support my card. I saw somewhere that the game should be released in steam, but I don't know for sure. :(

i am struggling to find the 12th diary paper😞 i dont know if i am just extremely slow but i can not seem to find it anywhere in the world it is located at in the guide

from the doorway you enter the black and white world, go up about 6 steps and then turn left and go forward until you see the first big TV with an eyeball, the diary page will be to the left of that TV (like two steps above it and 5 steps to the left of it)

Hiya I'm really excited to play the game! but I think I'm having a bug where after Randall wakes up after the cutting his hair scene the apartment becomes unwalkable? I can only walk if I enter the menu and click out again.
ah its an FPS issue with your graphics card i think! try closing out of other programs before relaunching, if it still lags, restart your computer and try to run it again O:

Hey- every time I go to save it comes up with an error that says, "Script 'Game_System" line 91: TypeError occurred. no implicit conversion from nil to integer". Is anyone else having this problem? If so- is there anyway to fix it?
hm i just tested it myself on the version of the game uploaded and it seems to be working for me
could i ask some things to narrow it down?
-is it any save location or just one area specific?
-did you transfer saves from a previous version of the game?
-did you transfer saves from an old copy that allowed saving from menu? saving from menu has since been patched and if you transferred saves from a copy that allowed it, it could mess up the script and cause the error youre having

as project wise, i am working on getting purple prepped for a small update and a steam release but then we'll be focusing on an updated demo for the sequel "The Phobia Project" and then once that's done we may be focusing on our adults only murder VN, but thats up in the air currently

Wonderful game! I heavily relate to the main character and I don't know if this is what you were going for but the game felt oddly comforting and cozy. I loved it. But I do wish to ask, as a fellow indie game maker, did you use RPG maker to make this game? and which version? if you feel comfortable telling me, I'd like to make my own custom game but I'd like to know the best version for this type of game. I highly recommend it if you want to get into making pixel rpgs like this! its a very fun program to use and extremely versatile! theres so many scripts to play with that really push the limits of the engine and its fun to experiment! i wish you so much luck in your game development journey!

is there a scene with eve and tate?
been trying to find all the things i’ve seen in the game files now that i got all the endings lolyes! you need to collect all the diary pages and get the true ending in the same run, once you get to the bonus room after the ending credits of the true end you can use the arcade machines along the back wall to play bonus chapters and one of them includes a small scene with eve/tate ^w^ (the amount of diary pages determines which chapters unlock, i.e 2 pages to unlock the first one, 4 pages to unlock the first and second, etc)

oh?? what do you mean the wrong side? it should put you on the side before you placed the board, the board has to be in place in order for you to get into the lobby area
you only wanna take the board anyway if you havent solved the xray puzzle since one of the xray clues requires the board, but if you got that already you can just leave the board in place on the 2nd floor
I left it there but at the chase scene I kept dying because I couldn't remove the board and moths kept killing me 😭
that should be fixed now! once you get the garden spade, if you try to take the board with you, you should get an auto scene where randall places the board back and doesnt let you pick it back up to prevent soft locking like in the demo ^^

For example, the one where Mya is bending down to pick up Sausage, but instead of Randall (or Moths I guess) Being there, Tate was standing there.
Or at the end of the secret ending where Tate and Randall share a smooch, I didn't have those either! Maybe it just didn't count me as getting them?

theres also a small issue where the game over cg during the tate/messiah ending doesnt get locked in due to there not being a save bc its a game over, im working hard to get that fixed by tomorrow if you'd like to wait til i update the dev log with the newest version! you can redownload the game after ive uploaded the newest version and just drag and drop your save files over and you shouldnt lose anything!
I also added a little more content in the moths dream as well as fixed up some other small areas in the game ;w;

Been playing thru the game for the past few days and its been an awesome ride! Did 3/6 endings so far! We are also a system and reading Gaspar's explanation of their experience to Mya in the cafe scene was so on-point it made me and other system friends watching us play legit cry /vpos. This game is so special and so important to us, thank you so much for creating this and allowing others to experience it <3
I have a question tho! During Moths nightmare sequence, is there some sort of easteregg code youre supposed to imput in the telephone room? The one where every phone says 1 5 or 9! Thats the only one we couldnt figure out ourselves </3
