  Comment as the locking steward; My rationale for globally blocking for one week and not permanently was that the account has been registered since 2022 with 865 global edits, and the machine translations were only relatively recent and wasn't something that by itself was enough for a permanent block to me. On most wikis one would not immediately permanently block for machine translations either, unless it is persistent or severe, or if there have also been other violations. With that said, the account was globally blocked for a week with all of the relevant translations nuked, and I think that might be enough for now. Should they continue after this short-term block, I think we could indeed consider a longer term, or permanent, global block/lock. EPIC (talk) 19:16, 20 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
My reasoning for asking permanent block is speed of his editing and knowing how long here on Meta will be needed to take (any) action on stoping him, let alone removing his contribs + his main account is Hadjnix (The duck test)

  • Cross wiki active falsification vandals. They turn non-noble existing persons from a certain family tree into noble ones (Van Leeuwaarden and various ancestors, often with links to the Dutch East Indies) and then falsely link them to existing noble persons in articles on nl-wiki, en-wiki and wikidata. Ipv6 active cross wiki, ipv4 only on nl-wiki so far. Then such a family tree supposedly goes back to noble and royal persons. Even a princess who entered a monastery a certain year was suddenly credited with two fake children who were said to have been born after her entry and who, two hundred years later, would have been the matriarch of some people about whom hoax boasting lemmata were posted. It was also done in collaboration with a sock puppet farm. That farm posted even more hoax pages and fake weapon shields on commons about family members who were then linked to each other via the accounts and internet connections and became so-called noble ancestors. ---Hoyanova (talk) 08:05, 25 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
