What does meemoo do?
- We safeguard the past in digital form, exactly as it’s captured in images, sounds and newspapers;
- We make this content accessible and usable;
- We gather expertise about digital archive operations, and actively share it with the wider community.
Looking for (moving) images and audio?
We make our content partners’ digital archive content accessible via various platforms, so you can:
- browse descriptions of Flemish content
- view and download art and heritage from Flemish collections, and delve into stories about visual art
- search through newspapers from WW1
- find moving images and audio to use in the classroom
- take a look in our partners’ archives as a content partner

Manually describing 90,000 hours of audiovisual recordings from the archives or our media partners, would take you several decades! Together with VRT and the regional broadcasters, we used artificial intelligence to help us provide more and uniform metadata.
