Four benchtop models are described, featuring capacities up to 50 kN (11,250 lbf.).

They are available in five models which provide capacities from 5kN (1,125 lbf.) to 100 kN (22,500 lbf.) and can test robber, plastics, textiles and a range of other materials.

The test frames are available in three force capacities: 110 lbf (500 N), 330lbf (1500 N) and 550 lbf (2500 N), and in two travel lengths: 20 inches (508 mm) or 30 inches (760 mm).

Fraunhofer ILT has developed a new ultra-precise, non-contact ablative process, known as Laser Beam Figuring (LBF), which uses a pulsed C[O.sub.2] laser to perform ablations of less than 5nm on surfaces of almost any shape, and is both faster and more accurate than either IBF or MRF.
