Get into the holiday spirit with this cabaret featuring Sergeant Major (ret) Bob McDonald singing Sinatra's favorites along with Sinatra's Christmas classics!  West Virginia native Tony Nalker is on the keyboard.  For one show only on December 22 at 3pm - you're sure to get into the holiday spirit!  Tickets are only $15.00 and are available to purchase below or at the door.

SGM (ret) Bob McDonald, Baritone, served as Group Leader and a member of the U.S. Army Chorus for over 26 years, retiring in 2020. In this capacity, he performed regularly at the White House and for visiting dignitaries from across the globe. Bob is a regular fixture of the D.C. musical theatre and cabaret scene, and he has performed at such venues as The Kennedy Center, Folger Theatre, AMP by Strathmore, Wolf Trap, and 

Signature Theatre, among others.  Bob is a 

familiar face to Washington Capitals fans, gearing up for his 32nd season of singing the National Anthem for the hockey team. He has also sung the National Anthem for many other professional sports events in the D.C. area and across the country, including the Super Bowl, and was a soloist for Game 5 of the 2019 World Series. Bob received his B.A. in Vocal Performance and his M.A. in Opera Directing from Oberlin Conservatory of Music. 

Tony Nalker performs widely in Washington, D.C., currently serving as jazz pianist with the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra Pops. From 1989-2016 Tony was the pianist of the premiere jazz ensemble of the U.S. Army, the Army Blues, and served as the group’s enlisted leader. As a military musician, Nalker played for the highest levels of the U.S. government and military and performed on USO tours to Iraq and Afghanistan. He has also performed on State Department sponsored musical diplomacy tours to Russia, Kenya, and Ethiopia.  He received his undergraduate degree from James Madison University and an M.A. from the University of Iowa.

the great Spongebob characters we all love on this new adventure!

When Eunice Dasher McCoy passed away, she had a provision in her will to preserve McCoy's Grand so that it would not be torn down or extensively remodeled.  The theater, built in 1927, has undergone some renovations since that time, but it largely remains much as it was in its heyday.  During her life, Mrs. McCoy amassed an impressive antique collection, much of which is on display throughout the theater's lobby and showroom.  The McCoy-McMechen Theater & Museum is a popular stop during Hardy County's Heritage Weekend, held each year during the last weekend in September.  Visitors can see everything from antique dishes to furniture.  For film buffs the lobby contains publicity shots from such classics as "Gone With the Wind", "My Fair Lady" and "Fiddler on the Roof", and of course the theater and stage themselves are attractions.
