Currently under construction, a new boutique hotel is set to open in Westhampton this summer.
The new hotel called Three Ducks is a redevelopment of the former Seabreeze Motel. Manhattan-based Three Ducks Hospitality purchased the 12-room motel on 1.63 acres at 19 Seabreeze Ave. for $1.75 million in April 2024 and has been transforming the property over the last year.
The reimagined hospitality property, which will also have 12 rooms, features three elements, including The Barn, The Gardens and The Guest House.
The Barn is an indoor and outdoor space offering breakfast, a Dahlia farmstand and a market with local goods. The Guest House has rooms and suites with vaulted ceilings and expansive windows with built-in window benches. The grounds at Three Ducks will feature wildflower meadows, private gardens for each guest and a central firepit for communal gatherings.
The Westhampton hotel is a collaboration and debut property for designer-developers Randall Stone and Elizabeth Bakhash, who formed Three Ducks Hospitality with a focus on creating “design-forward properties that celebrate the locale,” according to a company statement.
Bakhash and Stone both have previous hospitality industry experience. Bakhash is the co-owner of the William, a boutique hotel in Manhattan and Stone, who has helped create brands for Hyatt, IHG and the Walt Disney Company, is co-owner of The Georgian in Santa Monica and Roadhouse and Junction in Anaheim.
Three Ducks is their first Long Island project.
“We instantly recognized the potential here and jumped at the chance to create something truly special for visitors and locals alike,” Stone said in the statement. “For us, luxury means more than just high-end finishes; it’s about creating an experience that feels rooted in the land and the community. From morning croissants and fresh coffee to evening gatherings around a fire pit with local wines, the guest experience will center on immersion in the surroundings, connecting visitors to the spirit of the Hamptons in a way that’s both effortless and elegant.”
Three Ducks is forming partnerships with local businesses and will offer a variety of seasonal activities, from birdwatching in the spring to flower arranging in early fall.
“We aim to inspire guests to embrace the joy of travel, which in many cases is your first introduction to the hobbies, food, and people you love,” Bakhash said in the statement. “All while embodying a genuine spirit and a touch of fun.”
Three Ducks is the second recent hospitality redevelopment in the area. Melville-based Peconic Equities transformed the former Grassmere Inn into a 16-key luxury hotel called Seven Beach Lane in Westhampton Beach, which opened in August 2024.
