The Beirut Museum of Modern Art (BeMA) is a new museum that will open in 2026, and will be an anchor along Beirut's ‘museum mile’ in the Mathaf area. Part of BeMA’s mission is to build a committed and engaged civic society through cultural and educational programs that involve diverse communities. It strives to bring together different narratives that foster conversations and dialogue, in partnership with cultural organizations and partners across Lebanon, the region and globally.

We are Hiring: Junior Archivist & Digitization Officer Part-time/Paid position Main Tasks - Digitizing artworks and archives from the MOC Collection as well as other collections acquired / to be acquired by BeMA according to BeMA’s digitization guidelines. - Digitizing artworks and archives according to BeMA’s priorities. - Taking part in BeMA’s trainings and workshops on digitization and digital archiving - Contributing ideas that serve to improve BeMA’s digitization guidelines based on the day-to-day workflow. - Contributing to data entry on BeMA’s online database, in collaboration with BeMA's researcher - Producing visual documentation of BeMA’s projects and activities - Contributing to BeMA’s archival practices approach - Contributing to reports on BeMA’s projects and activities - Assisting the art conservation team in cataloging when working on bulk-specific digitization campaigns Eligibility Requirements - Advanced knowledge in digital photography (studio photography in particular is a plus) - Advanced knowledge in image processing and Adobe Creative Suite (mainly Photoshop, Lightroom, and Bridge) - Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office - Proficiency in English and Arabic (French is a plus) Profile - The ideal candidate must be patient, attentive, and meticulous, with good - - sensitivity to visual aesthetics and a capacity for technical problem-solving.
