We are pleased to share that our colleagues Salman BinKhalid and Muhammad Hanan Tariq have been promoted to Partners, effective 1 October 2024. Salman leads the Firm's key client engagements and its SoQM (System of Quality Management) process. He has 18+ years of experience in Audit, Assurance and Accounting Advisory Services to leading financial services organizations in Kuwait, spanning across sectors such as oil and gas, telecommunications, e-commerce solutions, automotive, infrastructure, family businesses and private enterprises. In like manner, Hanan has been instrumental in the Firm's Tax practice and acted as the cornerstone of its China Business Desk, leading it ably since its formation in 2021. He has 18+ years of Accounting, Tax Compliance, and Advisory experience in the Middle East and is adept in advising clients on tax compliance matters. He has also participated in major tax structuring advises for joint ventures and mega projects in the region. Throughout their previous roles as Directors, Salman and Hanan have played vital roles in driving not only the growth of their functions but also the Firm's collective success. We are confident these promotions will aid in strengthening our leadership further and enable KPMG Kuwait to expand on its Audit and Tax capabilities. It was an amazing experience conducting our workshop at Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) which aimed to help senior Accounting students build a robust career in Audit, Accounting and Financial Advisory. Special thanks to our colleagues from Audit, Deal Advisory and Accounting Advisory Services for putting together this insightful session. The hour-long workshop took the participants through different career options in audit, accounting and bookkeeping, deal advisory, mergers and valuation, and provided useful information to propel their careers in their desired direction. The session was followed by a QnA segment where KPMG professionals addressed the attendees' queries. We are thankful to Jean-Paul Arnaout, Associate Professor. KPMG Kuwait will be at the Gulf University for Science and Technology tomorrow, 7 October 2024, to facilitate a session on how one can build a career in Audit, Accounting and Financial Advisory. At this workshop, KPMG Kuwait’s professionals will be interacting with students from the university's Accounting department to help them understand the career options they can explore after completing their graduation studies. KPMG professionals will also be furnishing information on the professional certification courses that the students can take up to further strengthen their skills. This workshop draws on KPMG Kuwait’s Audit Internship Program, which has been running successfully for the past three years to provide final year students with an opportunity to learn and grow in the Audit space. Every year, KPMG Kuwait’s Audit Internship Program enrolls up to 30 students and gives them a chance to collaborate with experienced Audit professionals and develop hands-on experience and real-world understanding of working in the Audit function.
