To the extent that the parties have agreed that payment is to be backed by a bank guarantee, the Buyer is to provide, at least 30 days before the agreed date of delivery or at least 30 days before the earliest date within the agreed delivery period, a first demand bank guarantee subject to the Uniform Rules for Demand Guarantees published by the International Chamber of Commerce, or a standby letter of credit subject either to such Rules or to the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits published by the International Chamber of Commerce, in either case issued by a reputable bank. 당사자들이 화환신용장에 의한 지급을 합의한 경우에는, 매수인은 약정된 인도기일로부터 또는 약정된 인도기간의 첫날로부터 적어도 30일 이내에 국제상업회의소의 요구불보증서에 관한 통일규칙에 따른 우선청구권 은행보증서 또는 앞의 통일규칙이나 국제상업회의소의 화환신용장 통일규칙에 따른 보증신용장을 제공하여야 하며, 어느 경우이든 평판이 좋은 은행이 개설한 것이어야 한다.
