Disney+
The streamer is renewing its original scripted series Diary of a Future President for a second season. The show follows the adventures of a middle-schooler’s adventures navigating the ups and downs of growing up as she begins her journey to become the future president of the US.
Disney+ ordered 10 new episodes that it will stream exclusively, although no expected delivery date has been announced yet. The first season launched in January, and is the most recent Disney+ original to get more content following the streamer’s renewal of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series back in February.
Produced by CBS Television Studios and Gina Rodriguez’s I Can & I Will Productions (Carmen Sandiego), Rodriguez, creator Illana Peña (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Keith Heisler and Molly Breeskin are its executive producers, while Peña and Heisler are also co-showrunners on the live-action comedy.
