Who are we?
We are Kent Students’ Union, the representative voice of all 20,000+ students who study at the University of Kent.
We are led by students, for students. Our mission is to promote your interests and priorities on campus, locally and globally, empowering you to lead through campaigns, lobbying and activism that you decide. We’re here to help you academically and socially, and strive to be a students’ union you can always turn to, whether you are doing great or just need a helping hand.
We empower students to become leaders, have a say in shaping your university experience and find friends and a sense of belonging. All while delivering inclusive, diverse and fun experiences because we are a home for everyone like you.

University is a time of massive change but also a huge opportunity for you to find like minded friends, whatever your niche interest.
There are over 250 Student Groups to choose from providing countless hours of entertainment, support and friendship. Whether you like outdoor activities like football and planting trees or indoor activities like dance and reading a book, there’s a group of similar individuals who can’t wait to meet you. The beautiful thing is, if somehow there isn’t a group that speaks to you then you can start one!

Jobshop is an online employment service provided by Kent Students’ Union to assist University of Kent students in Canterbury to find part-time, temporary and seasonal employment.
Jobshop’s mission is to ensure that as many students as possible have access to opportunities to gain valuable work experience, develop employability skills and earn some additional income whilst you’re studying.
