The staff at the Peter Skautrup Center for Jutlandic Dialect Research, a center named after its founder, Professor Peter Skautrup (1896-1982), collects and processes information about the Jutlandic dialects and the culture of the Jutlandic rural population circa 1850-1920. The central focus of the center's work is the editing of the historical, lexicographical documentation project the Dictionary of the Jutlandic Dialects, which is edited on the basis of an extensive, unique source material.

The center is part of the School of Communication and Culture, Department of Scandinavian Studies and Experience Economics.
