The iPad hardware engineering team is looking for a highly adaptable systems engineer to support multiple development programs. We work with many cross-functional teams in the development, support and sustaining of servers deployed at scale in our data centers.
Description
Collaborating cross-functionally with various hardware and software teams to define prototype hardware to evaluate new technologies and features is critical. This requires a motivated, self starter during the introduction of hardware to ensure the success of downstream teams in adopting, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and integration of new hardware platforms into their respective environments. Your background and expertise in system architecture will help ensure the success and the support of new technologies as they exit the development process between PVT and through ramp/mass production.
This includes the following:
- Create and execute plans to bring-up & validate designs for function and performance
- Debug and support prototype designs
- Identify victim and aggressor pairs, set testing specs and understand the impact on overall system performance
- Test Data Analysis
- Manage Contract Manufacturer interactions and support CM test during system builds
This position requires the candidate be in Shenzhen and require some domestic and international travel.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in System Level test development, debug, and reporting
- Must have EE fundamentals
- Experience with data analysis and data visualization
- Scripting knowledge and basic coding knowledge using Python, Shell scripting and/or C
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to grow in multi-functional work environments with an ability to learn and go after the challenge of unfamiliar tasks
Key Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong academic training and knowledge on fundamentals of Circuit design, SI Signal integrity and PI power integrity issues is a plus
- Knowledgeable in RF design with technical understanding of radio technologies: Cellular, Connectivity, GPS, NFC, etc.
- Hands on knowledge of general-purpose RF test equipment
