i got rat scaling skyscraper

a beautiful atmospheric game, though i was confused where to go sometimes with the dark shading and complex level design. this game definetely has a lot of potential though, with a polished and fun movement script.

nice driving controller, interesting idea, cute aesthetics, overall a nice game! the shrinking mechanic is a bit buggy (car not controlable at times, forcing a reset), but its good to see that you dealt with the clipping problem when you scaled into a wall.

a good amount of content, tho i wish there was more :P

i loved this game, the laws and all the different interlocking mechanics made the game more and more complicating ("papers please" style)

just reading the other comments and now i realize the "papers please" comparison is pretty common lol.

a difficult game with a cute artstyle and an adorable mechanic! i love it ❤️

this game is sooo fun! its really satisfying to control (though stopping the plane midair might be a bit too overpowered) and the upgrades give the game a sense of progression, rather than just the difficulty. its well polished, and the assets work great together. nice work!

such a cute, goofy game lol, i love it! the artstyle is nice, the mechanics are nice, its really well polished and clean, it has high replayability with the shop, overall a great underrated game! i would think that this project would have taken months, but no, only 4 days!? all 5 stars!

i always love tower-defense games, and this ones an interesting take! more turret types would be a lot more fun and engaging, and maybe some different asteroids / having asteroid spawn rate increase over time would increase playtime. great concept!

the music of the game is perfect, and the mechanic of changing the size of different objects is such an interesting twist on the standard "player changing size" theme.

great work!

an interesting game that i wish i could play more! because of my skill level (or lack thereof) i wasn't able to make it past level three. the style and post-processing effects all made it enjoyable and polished.

this is such an interesting creative idea, given a bit more time content, mechanics, and polish, this game would be very fun to play. good luck on your future endeavors!

a cool idea, with an interesting mechanic. it doesnt seem like theres much to do outside of just walking around, and the gameplay is a little slow. i feel that faster pieces and a simpler player movement system would benefit the game. a creative idea, though!

one of the games of all time

i had to run it in wine so it was really really laggy and i wasnt able to get past the 3rd level. overall, a pretty nice idea, i would love to test it on a windows pc tho!

a fun, well polished game! unfortunately, i wasn't able to get anyone else to join, so i ended up playing alone (very difficult!) i wasnt able to make it past level 3, but it was very enjoyable! i dont see how it fits the theme, however, because the game is peer-to-peer, and there is no server scaling involved (i think)...

the art style, music and all of the polish makes this game so satisfying to play! i can tell that this game made good use of the time given. like every jam game though, there are a few things that could be added if a post-jam version is ever created. one of my biggest gripes is the optimization. it might just be my pc, but by the time i placed the last tower, the game was running at like 10fps (maybe something like gpu instancing could help?) there could also be something to do after you complete the tower, like maybe different weapons or upgrades? an easier way to add more content and to make the game more difficult might be to speed up how fast the towers and weapons increase in price. overall this game is very well made and could, in the future be made into a very fun tycoon game!

an interesting take on the theme! this game would be very interesting as a rhythym game, with its fun style. a tune to play to would also be nice to have, if you ever make a post-jam version.

possible burger...

very nice game, a little too difficult for me though. 😅 i wasn't able to complete it, but the character plays very nice and it's an interesting idea to have two playable characters! overall, a very nice, clean, polished game.

gotta love when planes fly at 500ft :P

i have a bit of a skill issue so i wasnt able to complete it, but its very engaging with the sound design and all the mechanics! keep up the great work.

ha! its always fun to mess around with source files :D

I might've found an infinite pig glitch. Idk what caused it but for some reason every time I bought a pig it didn't reduce my diamonds? I also wasn't able to get any humans, because all of my tigers just ran off. Otherwise, this game is so comfy and nice for the 48 hour time limitation, and flows super well! Great job.

The music is so scientific-ish and matches the theme of the game myself! It's way cooler than most "shooter, but you can switch with the enemies" games that I've seen, because of the way you get to control multiple characters at once, but trying to still not attack yourself. The screenshake is perfect (not too much, not too little), and this game is just generally underrated. Great work!

The sound effects are so fun! The title is also a really cute pun. This take on the game jam theme is probably the most creative one I've seen so far. Great little game!

This game has a beautiful aesthetic! I loved the art style, and it's one of the few jam games with an actual, notable storyline! Great job on making this is just 48 hours.

I'm not the only one who used Pygame this game jam?! This is such a hectic game, and now I feel bad for all the elevators in my life 😅. It is such a cool idea to play as a computer, and I wasn't able to stop myself from continuously clicking that "restart" button every time that I failed, lol. Great game, keep up the great work! (and don't switch to a real game engine!)

This game idea is quite difficult to understand/control at first, but it get's way more fun once you've gotten the hang of it. The idea is really cool, and I found it really enjoyable to play for a while (I wasn't able to get a score higher than ~100, lol, I need to get better at playing these games) and the music and art are both super cute and fitting for the game! My only small nitpick is that it's a little bit hard to see what color each of the bullets are, and remembering what buttons I have to use to use to control them. Maybe you could brighten up the color of the bullets a bit more? But then if visibility on the bright background is bad, try adding an outline to the textures? I don't really know what would work, you can figure it out if you want to finish this game. (Oh the particle effects are also really cool, keep it up!)

Thanks for playing my game and giving me some helpful feedback! I'll think about adding powerups if I ever do turn this into a full release.

Edit: about your antivirus detecting the game as a virus, that's an issue which it seems a lot of people were facing. I think it's probably an issue with my packager :/

This is a solid game! It's such a creative idea. It took me a long time to finish because of my lack of skills, but it was worth it in the end (good job on making the game addictive enough to keep me playing!)

The music and sfx are so fun! This is such a cool game idea. Keep it up!

Thanks! The polish was so much harder than it seems, because I had to use pygame, but I'm happy that someone noticed it!

I'm not sure if I should've made the bullets faster, because that would've made it easier to get in the line of fire. I had basically no time to playtest and balance, though...

Yeah, I thought that this would be a more common GMTK idea with this theme, but it looks like everyone likes it so far! 🤞

I sure am glad to see another fan of chaotic games here!

Yeah, my random button-pressing "AI" isn't really that fun to play against. The art is by Pikamon, go check them out at https://itch.io/profile/pikamon!

Yeah, it looks like zooming the game out is probably the most common feedback I'm getting. If I ever do finish this game, that'll be the first thing I add!

yw, yw. I'm glad to hear that you played it with your friends, the "AI" isn't really that fun to play against.

You did write an essay, but it's like one of the few ted-talks that I actually like listening to, lol.

This is such a cool idea! It's so much more fun than those other "snake, but you are the apple" games because you get to actually use the snake to try and smash the bugs! The music and art are just nice bonuses on top of the already high-quality game. (The amount of polish you put in is also pretty cool!).

Hey there! It was pretty fun to make a two player game, but I only managed to do one true "2P" test.

The game is a little bit hard to control, and it took a little while for me to understand how exactly that "z" block works (I'm still not sure if I fully know what it does). However, all of the other aspects of this game felt pretty comfy to me! The music was also such a bop.
