this is so cute

the visuals look super great, especially for miniscript, but it’s a little janky and could use a little more love gameplay/controls-wise. also the theme just doesn’t exist lmao

i did the best i could :/
the island is randomly generated pixel art for what that’s worth
i learned a ton making the project though, like navigation and some more in depth shader knowledge so that’s a win for me :)

I joined late and ended early for my project blowboat, and spent about 7-10 hours working on the game.

3/5/4/5: -2 for unintuitive gameplay i wasn’t able to figure out, -1 for balloon movement

Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to make the pixel art too high-quality as we didn’t use asset packs or AI like half the other games (what have games become)

lots of shameless self promotion + a good thumbnail

Arrow keys would have been more intuitive but i think they would remove from the coolness factor of the game

Enjoyed the game but the sound balancing was weird and the UI wasn’t very cohesive

gameplay feels unfair, especially the exagerrated bounces
