- Pretty neat entry! This is a unique take on the theme. The audio is a bit loud, but besides that the game feels pretty solid to play.

really liked the music and the vibe of the game as a whole. it's a smart implementation of the theme. did the tree got slower as it health depletes? it felt like that and to be fair it was kinda making things go down pretty quickly for me, but managed it way better on my second try. had fun with this one!

The tree grows at the same rate regardless of its health. We had ideas for making the growth system more complex, but ran out of time.
To follow up on that the roots grow randomly with the odds determined by the soil quality. So on good (dark green) soil it'll grow quickly and on barren (light brown/gray) soil it'll grow very slowly or not at all.
It was a fun little game. Gave it a few goes. Almost lost track of time. Thanks for the entry!

Love this game. It took me a couple tries to figure out how all the mechanics work, but once I got it, I found it really interesting and innovative. I can see this design being used in all sorts of game themes. NPCs would sometimes get stuck on each other and the teleport cast time was a little long since staying on the roots all the time is the optimal strategy and gives you so much movement speed - it almost wasnt worth using. Overall really fun and a good challenge.
thanks for the feed back! very helpful!

Really cool concept, I loved how it kind of felt like I was building a base and defending it!
