Marco Gorini is representative of the National Council of Engineers and Italian delegate of UNI at ISO Technical Committee 279 which is developing the ISO standard 56000 on Innovation Management. He played the role of IP Expert and lecturer for the EUIPO during several seminars in Malaysia and India and he has been teaching since 2016 at the Summer School on Fashion Industry of University of Verona. He is head of technology transfer and innovation services at Veneto Innovazione and senior technology transfer and innovation advisor for the Enterprise Europe Network. Before he was project manager at Speedline and at Aprilia.
Marco Gorini is graduated as mechanical engineer at the University of Padua, he obtained the diploma on Innovation and Technology Transfer from the “Institut für Gestaltungs und Wirkungsforschung” - Vienna University of Technology and the certification of technology transfer professional from the Italian National Agency for Innovation.
He is frequent speaker at international conferences:
- June 2016-2018 Lecturer about the distinctive capacity of innovation at the "Summer School on the fashion industry " organised by the Law Department of University of Verona
- April 2016 invited panellist on innovation management at the Forum on "Europe-Singapore Partnerships – Creating Growth Opportunities for Global Markets" in Singapore, organised by the Singapore Manufacturing Federation.
- January 2016 EU branding expert for EUIPO and lecturer at the "4 roving seminars for SME trainers on IP tools for brand creation, protection and management " organised by EUIPO and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and New Delhi

Actually international competition technology innovation is not more sufficient anymore and branding is becoming very important, transferring in this way the leverages for the competition from the tangible factors…

    Branding strategy as well as deep knowledge of the market and competitors, leadership, management skills and the ability to cooperate with third partners like R&D partners, clients and suppliers are all enabling factors of a well established ‘innovation management system’. Actually international competition technology innovation is not more sufficient anymore and branding is becoming very important, transferring in this way the leverages for the competition from the tangible factors (cost/prices) to the intangible ones (branding). In this way to enhance innovation and competitiveness of companies it is important that IPR be considered as a whole composed of patents, trademarks, designs, geographical indications, trade secrets, etc.
