Italy is (finally?) undergoing a 𝐦𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐚𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐟𝐭. Although the widespread digital payment adoption in the last 4 decades in Italy has been thrilling and difficult, the numbers speak for themselves: 24% CAGR over the past decade and 13Bn electronic transactions in 2023. This rise shows Italian inventiveness and adaptation, not just statistics. Despite 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 solutions are driving this transition. These efforts make digital payments 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐫 and more 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 for consumers and companies. However, issues remain. In minor transactions and rural locations, many Italians prefer cash. With the 𝐓𝐎𝐏 𝐏𝐎𝐒 𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐔, the 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐮𝐠𝐞. We can close the gap with other European leaders by improving 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲, 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬, and 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞. Italian fintech PausePay - il Buy Now Pay Later B2B italiano strikes a partnership with Visa to offer deferred payments #PausePay, a startup founded in 2022 by Luca Scali, who is also the founder of CashInvoice, has signed an agreement with #VISA to offer customers a deferred payment system through a new business credit card managed by PausePay and issued by VISA. This collaboration will allow companies to access Buy Now, Pay Later (#BNPL) solutions, simplifying and speeding up payment deferrals. PausePay was developed in partnership with Allianz Trade, a leader in credit insurance, which manages the entire creditworthiness evaluation process. This ensures a safe and efficient process for companies seeking payment flexibility. With the support of VISA's global network, which invests $2 billion annually in innovation through artificial intelligence and machine learning, businesses can benefit from a cutting-edge platform. The B2B online transactions market in Europe is rapidly growing, expected to reach $11,262 billion by 2030. I wouldnt choose for this silly option as it is so obvious where this goes.
