Leonardo is proud to have co-hosted #SIDS2024, organised by the SESAR Joint Undertaking in collaboration with Aeroporti di Roma and ENAV, from November 12–15 in Rome. This four-day event offered an opportunity to explore the latest advancements in Air Traffic Management (#ATM), #Research, and #Innovation with Europe’s leading experts. Together, we advanced the vision of a #SingleEuropeanSky, paving the way for a safer, more sustainable, and digitally advanced future in air mobility. Representing #Leonardo at the Innovation Days were Marco De Fazio, Managing Director, #LeonardElectronics; Maria Iole Gentile, SVP of the ATM Line of Business, Leonardo Electronics; Salvatore Rino Scervo, SVP of Innovation Labs & Intellectual Property, Leonardo; and Luisa Propato, Head of Leonardo SESAR Programme & Head Negotiator, Leonardo. Since joining #SESAR in 2007, #Leonardo has been a key contributor to the development of the “Single European Sky.” Under #SESAR3JU, it has been awarded 12 projects across core technological areas. Among these, Leonardo coordinates the FCDI - Future Connectivity and Digital Infrastructure project, which aims to specify and develop the future technologies coming from the Communications domain, in order to support the Operational Services in the future ATM System.
