MUMBAI, (ANI) – Anupam Kher recently shared a heartfelt recollection of his early days of struggle, revisiting places that shaped him into the person he is today. Accompanying his reflections, Kher posted a series of pictures linked to his first job and his debut project, Saaransh.

In his caption, Kher wrote:
“Life is a sum of struggles, memories, and nostalgia…. Thank you for the love you are giving #Vijay69, now streaming on Netflix. It got me emotional, and I decided to visit a few places that have shaped me into becoming who I am.”

Highlights of Anupam Kher’s Journey:

Casa Maria, Bandra:
“Casa Maria on St. Paul’s Road was my third house in the city. During Saaransh (my debut film in 1984), I stayed on the first floor of this building.”

Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir, Bandra West:
“The first place I worked at when I came to Mumbai on June 3, 1981, for a job in an acting school. I soon discovered there was no actual building or acting school—we conducted classes on the beach!”

Prithvi Theatre, Juhu:
“I started my journey at Prithvi Theatre when I landed in Mumbai. This is where Satish Kaushik’s play Us Par Ka Nazara—an adaptation of Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridge—was staged. I also performed plays like Desire Under the Elms with Kirron, Look Back in AngerSalgirah, and Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai here.”

Kalumal Estate, Juhu:
“This is the first 1-BHK flat I bought—B23 at Kalumal Estate in Juhu.”

Shastri Nagar, Santacruz (Linking Road Extension):
“I lived here between 1982 and 1983 with four other people. We slept on the floor, and there was no fan! Those days remain unforgettable.”

Kherwadi, Bandra East:
“In 1981, I lived in Kherwadi with four others. These memories remind me of the struggles and resilience that define #KuchBhiHoSaktaHai.”

Anupam Kher, also an alumnus of the prestigious Prithvi Theatre, shared these memories as part of his journey of reflection and gratitude. His recent project, Vijay 69, is streaming on Netflix and has evoked widespread appreciation.
