Chau NGUYEN NGOC
Retired Engineer/Bank Executive/At the same time Professor/Lecturer in several universities and others in Viet Nam and in France, who is interested in history.
Author of several articles on spirituality and Viet Nam history, two books available on Amazon and one in Vietnamese in Viet Nam :
- one on his family «The time of Ancestors- a Vietnamese family on its journey in the XX th century » published in French in France in 2018 with a Preface by historian Pierre Brocheux
-and another on the two wars of the Vietnamese in the XX century, « Viet Nam- Political history of the two wars - Independence war(1858-1954) and Ideological war (1945-1975) », prefaced in the French version by historian Pierre Brocheux (2020) and the English version by professor Janet Alison Hoskins (USC, LA) (2021).
- One in Vietnamese on 3 generations of his family in the XX century, the third being his own with his participation in the "Đổi Mới" while visiting regularly Viet Nam during 30 years for his work, "Cuộc hành trình xuyên thế kỷ XX của một gia đình Việt Nam""
He experienced the Independence war of Vietnam through several members of his family on both his father’s and mother’s sides (his father, a graduated from École Polytechnique and École des Ponts et Chaussées in France and a Deputy Commander and the Military Commander of the Việt Minh zone 9 in the South was reputed to have blown up several bridges in front of Leclerc's advancing army in 1945-46 - see chapter XI of his second book) and he lived through the Ideological war directly after he studied in France and returned to Việt Nam to work until the fall of Sài Gòn (1975).
For him, history has the essential role of transmitting to the new generation the knowledge of the past. He considers that the duty of remembrance towards those who sacrificed themselves for the motherland, for whatever their reasons, should not be forgotten. And he devoted himself to this task with this book after he published the first on his family.

A major event had pushed him to wake up Maurice Moutet at home for this modus vivendi despite the failure of the talks at the conferences of Đà Lạt (from 17 April to 11 May 1946) and Fontainebleau (6 July to 12 September 1946) two days after its end.
Then he makes his oath which begins with: “I, ..., in the presence of the Great Architect of the Universe and this worthy, venerable and legitimate lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, etc.”
Thus, God and the Great Architect of the Universe are present in the lodge of Freemasons.

Most of the texts of the foreign researchers focused on the Caodaism of the Tây Ninh branch, the only one to have owned an army and to have been involved in the war of independence against the French colonizer and that against the Vietnamese communists. This Caodaism has become under the pen of many "the" Caodaism.
While there are still many other branches and organizations whose activities have always been purely religious and the fundamentals are what was revealed during the first years of the birth of this religion, far from the pantheon of "saints" venerated only in Tây Ninh: Victor Hugo, Nguyễn Bỉnh Khiêm, SunYat Sen,...
This article is the result of the research of a caodaist from a family of caodaists, therefore bathed in this religion since his childhood.
Its objective is to make Caodaism better known, to bring it out of interpretations that are far from reality. Are exposed here the spirituality, the organization, the history of this religion.
