Vehicles are now increasingly 𝙨𝙤𝙛𝙩𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙯𝙚𝙙, EV's are now becoming '𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙨'. It will be the software which will drive the differentiation for your next gen vehicles 💫 . How will the buyer know if the battery of the use car is good and not abused? 𝑴𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒈𝒆' of the car depends on the battery health. How will the buyer know the battery has got atleast 3-5 years of useful life? 🚀 𝗜𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿 𝘂𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲? EV's are now becoming software defined vehicles. It's the hardware and its software which decides the extend of features you can have and how much you can upgrade. How will the user know if the car is future proofed for next 3 years and capable of new upgrades and features? ⏳ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 '𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗿'? Previously, its the ICE engine make which decides the car value. In case of EV, will it be based on the battery vendor, motor vendor or the software vendor? 🏆 It is evident, atleast for now, the vehicle brand is the influencing factor in the resale market and ICE vehicles still remain as the favorite pick in the used car showroom. ✨ What else you will look for while deciding to buy an used EV car?

Establishing a robust electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure is essential for India's transition to electric vehicles. Several challenges hinder vehicle charging across various segments: Absence of Home Charging for Autos: Majority of auto rickshaw owners across the country don’t have access to home charging, this limits the mass adoption of e3Wsb. Currently the demand is stimulated by fleet buyers with captive charging infra at their hubs. - Limited Garage Space: Home charging is predominant for personal passenger cars, but limited garage space and the absence of charging setups in multistorey buildings pose significant challenges. - High Vehicle Downtime: Commercial passenger cars or taxis face high downtime due to slow charging and limited access to charging facilities. This requires organized operators to build and maintain large parking yards with charging infra also. - Limited Depot Infrastructure: Buses and commercial vehicles rely on depot-installed infrastructure, which is currently insufficient and requires substantial investment. Around 49% of private operators with contract carriage permits use ad-hoc measures like on-road parking, shared parking, schools, etc Public charging infrastructure or PPP model based charging infrastructure is vital to overcoming these challenges and boosting EV adoption nationwide. Setting up charging stations involves collaboration among power providers (utilities), equipment manufacturers, infrastructure installation specialists, and charging facility operators. Adoption and promotion of charging technology that offer limited downtime for charging is also crucial to ensure the utilization of these charging points are higher This setup demands significant capital expenditure, prime land availability for higher utilization, and low-cost power to be commercially viable. A representative charging station in a prime city area illustrates the economics involved, the rentals in premium commercial and retail districts across major cities pose a major hurdle to the financial viability of these charging points. The business has a long payback period, estimated at seven to eight years. The financial viability is highly sensitive to asset utilization, power costs, and land and infrastructure expenses. Decreased utilization disproportionately extends the payback period, making it essential to establish dedicated customer bases and strategically locate charging stations in high-demand areas. However, this is heavily influenced by overall EV penetration rates. Operating expenses, primarily driven by power costs and initial capital investments, also impact the payback period. Mahindra Group is betting big on #electric, and why not? Auto makers can meet fuel efficiency norms or CAFÉ standards by either making ICE vehicles more efficient or by introducing new technologies like battery electric and fuel cell. It's great to see Indian OEMs like Mahindra, Tata, and others betting on electric vehicles.
