What you actually need is good understanding of concepts and a lot of practice. To all those posting similar content on LinkedIn: What is the guarantee that the questions asked for an XYZ company to Ramesh will be asked to Suresh as well? Yes, there are generic questions which do get asked everywhere, like, "Can you explain your automation framework?". But pin pointing exact coding and other questions? I see a lot of Quality Engineers nowadays are struggling to get a job. Some of them came into QA career with a thought that QA does not require coding skill and only manual testing. I would not recommend anyone to get into Quality Analyst career with such a mindset. Being a QA requires a lot of analytical skills, good observation, decision making, Automation skills etc. You have to be very good in various tools, operating system, good management skills, database, API, Mobile testing, CICD etc. You need to be very good in checking logs in various Logging tools, analysing it and documenting for team members. Everyday you will have to make many critical decisions. As a QA lead/Manager you will have to design best Quality Engineering practices, hire good Quality Engineers with all these knowledge and skill set and deliver the product on time without compromising testing. On top of that you should find it as a passion to work on Quality Engineering and it is not limited to Manual testing. Otherwise you will be making a wrong career move.
