Here are some interesting takeaways: 1.❗️More than 40% of unicorn founders return to India due to the significant opportunities the market offers 🦄. 2. All internal meetings in English 3. Skill levels are high. Nearly all founders can code, and the current generation is increasingly proficient in deep tech and complex R&D projects. 4. Founders are top hustlers. Founders are ready to jump on calls at 2-3 AM local time without expecting VCs to know the local time in India. 5. Top talent. The competition for entry into top Indian universities is several times higher than at Harvard or MIT. 6. India's e-government platform is regarded as one of the best in the world, featuring a seamless KYC system and billions of transactions via QR codes.

📢 New Entrant in Indian Healthcare AI Space 📢 Former #BharatPe CPO Ankur Jain is building healthcare AI startup Jivi AI with the aim of transforming primary healthcare. The startup’s website says it has an interdisciplinary team that includes physicians, data scientists, engineers, designers, and research scholars from Stanford, MIT, Harvard, and Yale as part of the founding team of Jivi. #JiviAI will focus on the transformation of the primary healthcare system in India and will take the help of AI, digital health, large language models, machine learning, and generative AI. Recently, BharatPe cofounder Ashneer Grover also ventured into healthcare payment with his new startup ZeroPe, a healthcare billing app that aims to facilitate medical loans of up to INR 5 Lakh for users’ medical needs. Bengaluru-based healthtech startup 4baseCare has successfully closed a $6 million Series A funding round, led by Yali Capital with contributions from various undisclosed investors. This new capital infusion will accelerate the company’s efforts in advancing genomics and digital health technologies and facilitate its entry into the Asian and Middle Eastern markets. The funds will be used to enhance product offerings and establish genomics laboratories in the Philippines, Nepal, and Dubai. These new labs will strengthen 4baseCare’s capabilities in delivering precision oncology solutions tailored to regional needs. Founded in 2018 by Hitesh Goswami and Kshitij Rishi, 4baseCare specializes in precision oncology, using cutting-edge genomics and digital health technology to personalize cancer treatments. The company previously raised $2 million in Pre-Series A funding to boost genomic testing in oncology. This latest funding round highlights the increasing investor interest in healthtech solutions for cancer care. Recently, biotech firm Immuneel Therapeutics raised $12 million from Taiba Middle East FZ LLC, while Icanheal secured INR 15 crore to provide tailored healthcare financing for cancer patients. According to the National Centre for Disease Informatics and Research (NCDIR), cancer incidence in India is alarmingly high, with one in nine individuals expected to be diagnosed in their lifetime. India's Venture Capital Ecosystem needs Maturity to deal with Deep Tech Ventures. To inculcate this step up government needs to incentives founders engaged in setting up AI Labs that focus on development of India / Asia specific models. The founders, themselves, will have to engage with VC system to make them understand the life cycle of such ventures which itself is evolving. VCs need to take cue from those markets which have already invested in such deep tech ventures and learn from them. All the stakeholders will have to come forward and make this happen if India has to capitalize on the massive opportunity to leapfrog in the world of AI enabled future.
