Hi CA Finalist Folks, Day 2 of Ind AS Short Series is all about Ind AS 2 Inventories For Calculating Fixed OH Recovery rate we use Higher of Normal units & Actual units in Denominator. Logic being if we produce more units than normal then it will result in Notional profit (as we have absorbed more than actually incurred) On the contrary side if we produce lower than normal units then it is actual loss as we are producing below capacity. Stock with High Inventory turnover ratio are Fast moving stocks. Example In daily use - wheat, soap, Pen, etc. Stock with Low Inventory Turnover Ratio are Slow moving stocks Example in daily use - ketchup, toothbrush, Measurement scale, etc.

𝗞𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮𝘂𝗷: 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 It is said that perfume flows through the drains of Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh, and this is no exaggeration. Known as the 'Perfume Capital of India,' Kannauj is home to around 300 distilleries 🇮🇳 A pleasant fragrance lingers in the air, with remnants of roses and other flowers strewn across the city, including the drains 🌹 The old-world perfumery still uses the traditional method of distilling perfumes that are based on essential oils and not alcohol. India grows over 30 of 300 naturally fragrant raw materials required to manufacture perfumes, and is also a leading supplier of essential oils like mint, jasmine, sandalwood, tuberose and spices in the global market. Perfume-making in Kannauj is a primary profession and steeped in history and mythology. According to local legend, the business of perfume-making in the city started with Mughal empress Nur Jahan, wife to emperor Jahangir, in the early 17th century. The empress used to bathe in a pool with rose petals and once noticed that the flowers would leave behind oil in the water and concluded that the fragrant oil could be extracted from flowers. Kannauj's strategic location near major cities like Agra, Kanpur, Lucknow and Delhi and its fertile soil by the Ganga further established it as a perfume hub. In Kannauj, the traditional way of hydro-distillation is still widely in use instead of the newer and faster method of steaming. Perfumers in the city believe that this traditional method gives an unmatched fragrance. Almost everyone in the city is engaged in 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘳-making in one way or another. The first part of the process starts at the break of dawn when farmers and labourers go to their fields to pluck flowers of the season 🌺 These flowers are then transported to distilleries, where they're put into huge vessels called 𝘥𝘦𝘨 made of copper 🌸 An average vessel can hold 100 kgs of flowers of varying sizes 🏵️ The tightly-packed 𝘥𝘦𝘨 is then capped with clay so that air can't escape. These are connected to a 𝘣𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘬𝘢, another receiver made of copper, which acts as a condenser and is placed in a water tank. The 𝘥𝘦𝘨 is put on fire on a furnace and the 𝘣𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘬𝘢 distills the steam 🔥 Among Kannauj's unique attars is 'Mitti Attar,' capturing the smell of rain (petrichor) in a bottle 🌧️ Kannauj is not just a place on the map; it's an olfactory journey. Zepto appears to be in non-stop fundraising mode, as a new report suggests that the 10-minute grocery delivery unicorn is in talks to raise an additional $310 million at a much higher valuation. According to an ET report, the Aadit Palicha-led startup aims to reach a $5 billion valuation with this funding round, which could see participation from investors, including Mars Growth Capital—co-managed by Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc and Israel’s Liquidity Group—alongside US-based General Catalyst and other existing investors. The report also said that the funding round could reach $350 million, with participation from existing investors and HNIs.
