🔥 5 Imp points for D2C brands to decide which products to market via performance marketing in Phase 1 of growth. 1. High Margin - No point getting great roas on super low margin products. - Decent/okayish roas on high margin is still better. - End goal: PNL positive. 2. Decent AOV: Not too low & too high - Too high AOV leads to too high CAC - But too low AOV won't lead to the lowest CAC - Hence, see the soft spot. - But still, bend towards high AOV. 3. Have PMF/Good user feedback - We are looking for market demand. - It's less effort than generating demand. - Easier acceptability in market. 4. Organic % and Repeat Purchase % - High organic & repeat is a sign of strong PMF - Never ignore a product with high organic/repeat - These products will drive your growth engine. - And other products can piggyback on it. 5. Creative inventory - You have 2 products with all the above 4 points met, - Then go with the ones with decent creative repository - Or the ones in which you can build creatives fast. I hope it helps. Primary factors influencing this growth include: 1/ 1.3B+ smartphone and internet users and ~500M online shoppers by 2030. 2/ E-commerce penetration increasing from ~8% in FY22 to ~15% in FY27. 3/ India becoming the 3rd largest economy by 2030 with ~40% urban population. D2C brands, with their niche positioning, strong control over customer data and experience, and high go-to-market speed, are rapidly growing and disrupting traditional players like Unilever, ITC, and Tata Consumer Products—companies that have dominated for decades. New-age brands like Boat, Mamaearth, and Licious reached INR 100Cr in revenue in less than 5 years. A few months back when we onboarded a client in the pet care industry, they were at around 2L per month in revenue. They have a pretty good offline business and the sales mostly came from their offline customer base + some organic search + unstructured Meta ads. We came in. Started doing ads properly with small budgets. The good thing was that the client let us do whatever we wanted. Didn't ask any questions. But on the other hand, the cooperation from their side was pretty slim. No support with creatives, no customer call-outs, etc. But fast forward to last month, we reached their highest number of 8.6L per month. And guess what happened? The founder messaged us with the new targets for the next 4 months with a question at the end... "What do you need from our side to achieve this?" Remember: They weren't invested at all in how things were going till then. It turns out that we made them understand the growth potential and that inspired them. Account Audit: Meta ➡️  ROAS is consistently below the desired ROAS -Majority of campaigns were running all product catalog which was pushing lower ASP products ➡️ Multiple A+ campaigns with the same targeting and same catalog 😐 ➡️ A+ campaigns, running pan India with native ads ➡️ The brand did fairly well during the festive period but could not maintain the momentum in Q4 ➡️ In Q4, the audience reach was broader, leading to lower CPM, but the brand reached irrelevant audiences leading to lower CTR & ATC rates. ➡️ Q4 also saw a dip in CPA because of better absolute numbers (Imp, clicks, ATC) but still had the lower ROAS - cheaper products getting most of the traction. #PerformanceMarketing #d2cmarketing #audit #analytics
