3D LABS INDIA's dream has finally come true over three years of hard work, smart work, and numerous sacrifices. Our mission and vision are to provide practical education on cutting-edge technologies to students, faculties, rural innovators, housewives, entrepreneurs, and hobbyists. Exactly four years ago, the world was in lockdown due to Covid-19. It made me realize that life is too short and unpredictable during such times. Determined to fulfill my dream and contribute something valuable to society, I began exploring business opportunities online after my working hours. After the first wave of Covid-19, I visited several companies to clarify my doubts about 3d printing technologies, focusing on: 1. Revenue generation 2. The future of 3d printing 3. Scale-up opportunities 4. Solving social problems We started the 3D LABS INDIA experience center, which stands out by creating an immersive experience for its customers and visitors. The experiential center is a testament to the company's dedication to not only showcasing the potential of 3d printing technology but also educating the public about its numerous applications. Live demonstrations of 3d printers and showcases of printed products, functional prototypes, robots, and drones captivate the imagination, offering a glimpse into the future of manufacturing and design. This hands-on approach demystifies the technology, making it accessible to everyone from students to professionals across various industries. Education and innovation are at the heart of 3D LABS INDIA's mission. The company's initiative to host classes, courses, and workshops on 3d printing applications is a game-changer, especially for students, business professionals, homemakers, and entrepreneurs. These educational programs are designed to spark creativity, foster innovation, and equip participants with the skills needed to leverage 3d printing technology in their respective fields. I would like to extend my gratitude to "MiC News" channel for producing an excellent story on 3D printing technologies. This video serves as a valuable reference for Telugu-speaking individuals, encouraging them to adapt and implement new technologies as revenue-generating services. ISRO is driving the adoption of Additive Manufacturing in space applications in India as it successfully conducts long-duration hot tests of Liquid Engine manufactured using #additivemanufacturing Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) redesigned the engine making it amenable to the Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) concept thereby gaining considerable advantages. The Laser Powder Bed Fusion technique employed has brought down the number of parts from 14 to a single-piece, and eliminated 19 weld joints, saving significantly on the raw material usage per engine (13.7 kg of metal powder compared to the 565 kg of forgings and sheets for conventional manufacturing process) and reduced 60% in the overall production time. The manufacturing of the engine was done by Wipro 3D, and the engine was hot tested at ISRO Propulsion Complex, Mahendragiri. In April 2024, we were thrilled to have 40 students from the Ankita School - a government school in Bangalore - come for a factory visit. Over a two-hour session, the children were introduced to the fascinating world of high-performance plastics and taken through the various processes we employ in making our numerous parts. Most importantly, we encouraged them to understand that companies only survive because of stringent quality processes that consistently deliver great products.
