Rest assured, Austrian Airlines, component supply for your future long-range fleet is in good hands. 😊 We are delighted to announce that Austria's flag carrier has recently awarded us with a Total Component Support (TCS) contract covering up to eleven Boeing 787s until the end of 2032. In line with this contract, our experts are not only taking care of the classic MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) needs of Austrian’s 787 parts, we have also started building up a dedicated stock of materials for their Dreamliner fleet stationed in Vienna. This way, our TCS is perfectly tailored to their needs. “We have had good experience with TCS for our A320 and 777 fleets for many years,” said Stephan Koenen, Senior Director Engineering & Commercial at Austrian Airlines. “Expanding the range of services to include the Boeing 787 was therefore a logical consequence. With this contract, we are creating a high level of supply security for this aircraft type with an optimized cost position.” “Due to its large quantities and global deployment, the Boeing 787 is an aircraft type where our Total Component Support can fully play to its strengths,” explained Kai Roepke, Vice President Corporate Sales Europe, Middle East and Africa at Lufthansa Technik. “Thanks to our large pool of spare parts, we are able to provide Austrian with the right Dreamliner spare part immediately. And with our 15 parts warehouses around the world, the required component is often just a stone's throw away. This gives Austrian Airlines the best possible component supply for its new Dreamliner fleet.” #keepyouflying #lufthansatechnik #avmro #mroexperts Image copyright: Austrian Airlines

We have had a mixed economic performance for the first half of 2024: While the second quarter saw a record result, non-operating special factors and one-time effects have significantly contributed to these results and we are feeling the pressure that is affecting the entire aviation industry. Despite strike costs burdening the first quarter, we were able to increase by 9.6 percent compared to the previous year and demand for our services remains high: We closed around 320 new contracts in the first half of the year. Also, at AVIATAR, our platform for airline operations with a wide range of digital products and services, the positive trend continues: The corresponding contracts now cover almost 4000 aircraft from paying customers. We also achieved success in personnel recruitment, with a current workforce of over 23,000 and strong engagement in fostering young talent. The goal is to increase the adjusted EBIT margin and achieve a sustainable double-digit margin as part of our "Ambition 2030" strategy. #LufthansaTechnik #MROexperts #keepyouflying

We have entered into an agreement for the maintenance of #CFMLEAP engines with Guangxi Beibu Gulf Airlines! This agreement marks our first CFM LEAP service contract in China and follows our receipt of the approved maintenance organization certificate from the CAAC - Civil Aviation Administration of China for CFM LEAP-1A services earlier this year. “It is with great confidence that we entrust Lufthansa Technik with engine services for our A320neo fleet,” said Mr. Gao Yukun, President at Guangxi Beibu Gulf Airlines. “The company already has extensive experience with LEAP-1A engines, serving a variety of customers. We look forward to Lufthansa Technik developing knowledge and methods for sending engines back to us with the highest possible return of investment." “We are thrilled to have successfully closed the first contract in China for this service,” said Dennis Kohr, our Senior Vice President Corporate Sales Asia Pacific. “We were the first independent MRO provider worldwide to sign a CFM Branded Service Agreement for both the LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines and the first ones to complete a Performance Restoration Shop Visit on a LEAP-1A engine to restore the engine's original performance. So, this agreement is the next milestone, underlining our commitment to deliver high-quality, reliable MRO services to our customers in China and beyond.” [Copyright Image: Guangxi Beibu Gulf Airlines] #LufthansaTechnik #MROexperts #APAC #keepyouflying

Sneak preview: We are proud to announce that we won two Red Dot Design Awards 🎉 Our “Omni-Fi” sound experience is among the winners in the “Best of the Best: Design Concept” category and the VIP design concept “CelestialSTAR” for the BBJ 777-9 was honored in “Product Design” in this year’s design competition. The official award ceremony will be held in Singapore in October. With the latest development of the Omni-Fi speakers, we are bringing a fully invisible sound experience for various installation positions in both VIP and business jet cabins to the market. Omni-Fi’s exclusively licensed Ring-mode Converter/Transducer technology enables an extremely sleek design that does not compromise on sound quality thanks to optimal omnidirectional dispersion. This way, Omni-Fi can not only provide passengers with a literally immersive listening experience, but it also opens up entirely new degrees-of-freedom for cabin designers, because of its installation depth of less than 20 millimeters and a weight of less than 300 grams (<0.6lb). Another big benefit: compared to classically implemented cabin speaker systems, Omni-Fi saves up to 50% weight. The CelestialSTAR VIP design for the BBJ 777-9 prioritizes versatility and multifunctionality. It showcases an impressive array of stunning features and furthermore maximizes space, comfort, and incorporates traditional elements of Middle Eastern cultural heritage with a modern twist. A special light and window shade concept has been implemented throughout the cabin, giving passengers the feeling of being in their personal living room rather than on a plane at 30,000 ft, particularly important for an ultra-long range aircraft. Andrew Muirhead, our Vice President OEM and Engineering Services and Head of the Original Equipment & Special Aircraft Services segment said: “The Red Dot Design Award is one of the world's most renowned design competitions and honors the best in design and business. We feel very honored that we were able to convince the jury with two of our outstanding products. Winning these awards not only signifies the highest level of design expertise, but also underscores our company’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and quality in product design and sets a benchmark for future innovations.”   We are already looking forward to the official Red Dot Design Award ceremony in October!   #keepyouflying #LufthansaTechnik #MROexperts #RedDotAward

Implementation successfully completed✅: Eurowings Technik is the first CAMO organization in the Lufthansa Group to complete the introduction of the AVIATAR Electronic Technical Logbook (eTLB) for the entire fleet of Eurowings flight operations. As a result, paper-based processes in the cockpit are now redundant. By connecting to Swiss Aviation Software AMOS, the maintenance and engineering software used by Eurowings Technik, the digital logbook solution enables communication between crew and maintenance in nearly real time and provides information on the technical condition of the respective aircraft. Eurowings and AVIATAR can already look back on many years of successful partnership: As one of the first partners of our digital platform, Eurowings and AVIATAR are working together to further develop digital solutions and enable more stable and reliable flight operations. The value airline of the Lufthansa Group already uses a variety of AVIATAR solutions: Condition Monitoring for fleet monitoring, Predictive Health Analytics for predictive maintenance and the Engineering Analytics Suite for modern fleet management. The introduction of the eTLB now marks a further milestone of our collaboration. Matthias Gruber, Vice President Technical Fleet Management Eurowings and Managing Director Eurowings Technik said: "The eTLB is a milestone in the digitalization of our processes in the cockpit and in maintenance. Not only does it enable us to make flight operations more efficient, the replacement of paper processes also represents a decisive step towards greater sustainability. We look forward to continuing to work with the AVIATAR team to shape an innovative, efficient and sustainable future together." Frank Martens, our Senior Director Sales AVIATAR and Digital Products, added: "To meet the expectations of our partners and customers as well as our own ambitious goals, here at AVIATAR we are constantly striving to develop the best digital solutions on the market together with our partners. We look forward to continuing to drive digital transformation in aviation together with Eurowings to maximize efficiency in technical operations." #keepyouflying #AVIATAR #LufthansaTechnik #MROexperts
