But when heavy debts threatened the business, Abhishek decided to take a bold step by taking the business online. Abhishek’s decision to go online with @Flipkart marked a turning point. Within just 5 years, Vimal grew from a single vertical of track pants to 15 verticals and 1,000 orders per day, clearing a debt of 10 crores. Today, 90% of their business is online, and they employ 300 workers, with a workforce that is 60% female. This growth reflects his belief in providing equal opportunities and supporting the ‘Make in India’ vision.
