1st Brazilian Workshop in Analytic Number Theory

IMPA, Rio de Janeiro, October 28th – November 1st, 2024

Over the last few decades, we have seen many advances made in several branches of Number Theory on the international scene, both in analytic and algebraic aspects, such as finite distances between consecutive primes by Zhang and Maynard (Fields 2022) and packing of spheres in dimensions 8 and 24 by Viazovska (Fields 2022), among many other important results. At the same time, in recent decades we have seen an increase in the number of researchers working in the field of Number Theory nationwide, but in different corners of Brazil.

The 1st Brazilian Workshop in Analytic Number Theory aims to bring together these researchers in order to foster new collaborations, establish a network and display what kind of Number Theory is being done currently in the country.
