It was a pleasure to speak at Mansion House last week, alongside my colleague Jeremy Soutter and what a noteworthy venue to announce Carne Group recent approval as a host ACD for an LTAF. Alongside our good friends at Natixis Investment Managers and Mobius we explored the beneficial role of private markets for both DC schemes and Wealth investors, the evolving nature of the regulation and the complexities in managing an LTAF within the current ecosystem. A special thanks to Nick Groom for the superb organisation and chairing.

We recently supported TPT Retirement Solutions in successfully launching two new Alternative Investment Funds for UK pension schemes, which have combined assets of over £800m. The PwC Observatory for Management Companies (ManCos) 2024 Barometer ranks Carne Group 2nd in its listing of third-party management companies in Luxembourg, up from 3rd place the previous year.   This is a true testament to our clients and the trust they place in us. It is also great validation of our people, their expertise, and the tech-enabled solutions we have become known for.   Outsourcing of management companies has trebled in Luxembourg since 2016 and represents almost 20% of the market now; a trend we expect to continue. Our 2024 Change report found that - of the 200 fund managers surveyed - they are noticing an increase in the industry’s focus on ensuring greater independence for its governance structure and nearly 4 out of 5 (79%) expect the level of outsourcing the management company requirements to third-party specialist providers to increase between now and 2026.
