To etch or inscribe something onto something else. A noun or pronoun can be used between "inscribe" and "with." I got my class ring inscribed with my initials —did you? Why would you inscribe your desks with your names? Not only did you deface school property, but you totally incriminated yourselves at the same time! You guys inscribed the tree trunk with your initials? But why?
