get bogged down

To become burdened or impeded (by something). (A bog is an area of wet, muddy land that is difficult to walk through.) Try not to get bogged down in minute details for this project—we're looking for speed more than accuracy. It's so easy to get bogged down by the technical jargon they use on these support sites. I wish they would just write in plain English! I haven't been as productive lately as I would like. There are just so many stressful things going on that I'm getting a little bogged down.
