1. Eerie or spooky. Whew, that creepy sound turned out to just be a creaky door. No way, man, I stay away from that creepy old house on the corner! It's creepy to be in the airport at 3:00 AM when all the stores are closed and everyone around is half-asleep.
2. Producing a feeling of uneasiness in others due to an unseemly manner or inappropriate behavior. Who's that creepy guy over there who keeps staring at us? If you hit on girls with that creepy pick-up line, I'm not surprised you keep getting rejected. Hey, I know you like this girl, but don't seem too eager on your date tonight—you don't want to come off as creepy.

informal Any insects or arachnids, taken collectively. Would you please put that spider outside? I can't go to sleep knowing there are creepy crawlies in the house! I hate creepy crawlies, so having to analyze them in Biology class is a true nightmare. Creepy crawlies don't bother me, my mom freaks out over every little bug.
