Charles Walter Stansby Williams (20 September 1886 – 15 Mei 1945) adalah seorang penyair, novelis, pengarang drama, kritikus sastra dan anggota Inklings asal Inggris.
Biografi
[sunting | sunting sumber]Williams lahir di London pada 1886, sebagai putra tunggal dari (Richard) Walter Stansby Williams (1848-1929), seorang jurnalis dan koresponden bisnis luar negeri (untuk firma pengimporan, menulis dalam bahasa Prancis dan Jerman),[1][2] yang merupakan seorang kontributor cerita dan artikel 'giat dan bernilai' untuk beberapa majalah populer,[3] dan istrinya Mary (née Wall, saudari eklesiologis dan sejarawan J. Charles Wall[3]), a former milliner,[4] asal Islington. Ia memiliki satu adik, Edith, yang lahir pada 1889.
