Bruce Campbell

Bruce Lorne Campbell[1] (lahir 22 Juni 1958) adalah seorang aktor, sutradara, produser dan penulis Amerika. Dia dikenal karena penggambarannya Ash Williams di Sam Raimi Evil Dead franchise, dimulai dengan film pendek 1978 Within the Woods. Dia telah membintangi banyak anggaran rendah cult films seperti Crimewave (1985), Maniac Cop (1988), Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat (1989), dan Bubba Ho-Tep (2002).

Campbell mulai bertindak sebagai remaja dan segera mulai membuat pendek Super 8 film dengan teman-teman. Setelah dia bertemu Sam Raimi di Wylie E. Groves High School, keduanya menjadi teman yang sangat baik dan mulai membuat film bersama. Campbell akan terus hadir Western Michigan University sementara dia terus mengerjakan karir aktingnya.[6] Campbell dan Raimi berkolaborasi dalam versi 30 menit Super 8 yang pertama Evil Dead film, berjudul Within the Woods, yang awalnya digunakan untuk menarik investor.[7]
Kehidupan pribadi
suntingIstri pertama Campbell adalah Christine Deveau, yang dinikahinya pada 1983. Mereka memiliki dua anak, dan bercerai pada 1989. Campbell saat ini tinggal di Jacksonville, Oregon, dengan istri keduanya, perancang kostum Ida Gearon, yang dia temui di lokasi syuting film Mindwarp.[8]
