This game contains jumpscares.
Rinse And Repeat is a short retro-inspired (PS1/vhs) first-person horror game with multiple endings. It's inspired by childhood fears of closing your eyes in the shower. In fear that something might hurt you. I wanted to make something short and interesting within a few days. So this is what I could make within 3-4 days. With about a week of laziness in between those days :)
After a long day, you decide to take a shower. Maybe It's just your mind playing tricks on you, but you thought you heard something fall. It was probably nothing. Good thing you're almost done, all that's left is to wash your hair, but you have to close your eyes. What's the worst that could happen?
- - 5 to 10 minutes of gameplay.
- - 7 different endings depending on the player's actions.
- - Subtitles for interactions
- - Special events that happen when playing at a certain time of day.
Controls:
- WASD - Movement
- LMB - Interact
- Esc - Quit
- F7 - Reset All Progress

A horrifying game and it was fun trying to unlock all of the endings. I would consider this to be one of the classics on itch.io and really hope for like this to come. Well executed devs!

Damn, I didn't expect this game to get an update! I'm glad it did, I had a blast playing it again, There should be an ending where you can get in the shower with your clothes on, that would be hilarious. Keep up the hard work...

I played this months ago, I think when first published, and loved it! now with the update, I wanted to check it out and still liked it! :D
It looks better, and feels great!
My only complaints would be:
1. I think the jumpscare or animation of the monster is slower? it felt really slow!
2. I love the secret endings, but one thing that bugs me (and I know this is completely personal and a subjective view) is the window!! there's no easter egg or secret ending with that! haha
Also, I'm going to try and get the random event at night, I hope I can find it, so far I have all the endings with the secret ones and the easter egg of the code, I hope I can get the random event :D
