The Inbetweeners boys have swapped out the school ties for parkas and bushy eyebrows to star in Oasis: The Reunion: The Movie.

What with the Gallaghers finally putting aside their differences, it’s the perfect time for old comrades to join forces once again. In light of the reunion news, Comic Relief has recruited a pair of Inbetweeners to star as the Oasis brothers in an upcoming Red Nose Day Skit.

Rather than playing their usual roles of Jay and Simon, James Buckley and Joe Thomas have had a true Mancunian makeover. Decked out in parkas, mod haircuts and bushy eyebrows, the duo will be embodying Liam and Noel Gallagher in the ridiculously named Oasis: The Reunion: The Movie.

Buckley shared a snap of the two together on Instagram just three days ago, setting Inbetweeners fans into a frenzy. “Don’t call it a comeback,” Buckley’s caption read. We’re sure Buckley’s new alter ego Liam Gallagher would prefer we label it a reunion of ‘biblical’ proportions.

Comic Relief first teased the skit on the same day, posting the date 21.03.25 in Oasis font.

Speaking to Red Nose Day about the upcoming skit, Buckley is in high spirits. “I had such a fun time with Joe, making this sketch for Comic Relief, and was honoured to be asked to be a part of it,” he says.

While the satirical get-up may be poking fun at the infamous Mancunians, Buckley expresses nothing but love for the brothers. “Being a huge Oasis fan, getting to be Liam for the day was a dream come true,” he adds.

Thomas was equally as pleased to be Noel for the day to help the cause. “I grew up watching Comic Relief and the big sketch was always a highlight of the night,” he says. “So it’s both thrilling and nerve wracking to be a part of it.”

Oasis are sure to see the fun in the skit. Liam in particular has starred in a 2015 Comic Relief skit in the past, where he brought Stephen Fry to ‘tears’ after being added to the British Board of National Treasures alongside David Bowie, Kate Bush and Sir Ian McKellen.

Alongside the skit, Comic Relief will also be offering two exclusive VIP tickets to Oasis’ coveted reunion tour. The winners will be able to watch the show from the Royal Box at Wembley Stadium on 2 August 2025.

Winners will also be given a piece of money-can’t-buy memorabilia, with a guitar signed by both of the Gallagher brothers – a bit more exciting than a t-shirt! But the winner won’t be missing out on the usual merch either, as they’ll also get a set of official tour merchandise. All travel, accommodation and even breakfast costs will be covered.

Eager fans can enter via post, text or online. Postal entries will only require the cost of postage, while text entries are free with an optional £10 donation. Online entries will all require a £10 donation. Online and text entries close on the 13th April, with postal entries closing on the 18th April.

Money raised will be used to support communities from the UK and across the globe. Comic Relief regularly aids families struggling with food poverty, funds community organisations and health initiatives and helps maintain youth safe-spaces.

Red Nose Day 2025 will be hosted on Friday 21 March from 7pm on BBC One. You can also donate to Comic Relief now.
